The police officer who went viral on social media after trying to stop the content creator group ‘Tukomi’ during one of their pranks spoke for the first time about the incident.

It can be recalled that Tukomi gained the attention of the netizens after they almost put their lives at risk during their prank during their encounter with the police officer.

In an interview with Coach Dennis Zuniega, Police Staff Sergeant Ronnie Conmigo narrated what happened during the viral incident that some netizens believe could end the career of Tukomi.

According to him, he was living in the same place where the prank happened, so he responded quickly during the prank.

According to him, he was told by Tukomi that they were only playing pranks, but he didn’t believe them.

He also explained why he tried to distance himself from one of Tukomi’s members, saying that he didn’t want to risk being outsmarted during the said incident.

Officer Conmigo believed that the said prank done by Tukomi should be stopped.

The police officer also denied that he was really part of the prank.

“Hindi ko po sila kilala,” he stated.

Conmigo believed that other police officers would do the same if they witnessed the prank Tukomi.

He also shared a piece of advice to new police officers to be careful with their decision-making.

“Tignan niyo ang scenario, tignan niyo mabuti kung maikakapahamak niyo ba o mapapahamak kayo, ‘yung ginawa ko dinepensahan ko lang ‘yung sarili ko, nag-isip akong mabuti doon na hindi ako makadisgrasya.” he said.

The police officer then addressed the content creators to be careful of what they were doing.

Wag niyong gagawin yan,” he said.

“Wag niyong tangkilin yan.” he added.

According to him, he also decided to use the same technique when filming Batang Quiapo, currently one of the top-rated shows in television.

“Kasi dun ako lumaki, e. Sa kanila ni Bing Lao. Talagang hindi kami sanay na may script.” Coco said.

However, he admitted that he would not surpass Mendoza’s talent.

Meanwhile, the award-winning director praised Coco for being down-to-earth despite the achievements he attained.

Walang nagbago.” Mendoza said.

Despite the good stories about Coco, the actor still couldn’t evade criticisms especially from motivational speaker Rendon Labador who wanted him to leave Quiapo.

Some netizens were not convinced that Filipino-American actress Vanessa Hudgens was fit to become the Philippines’ global tourism ambassador.

On March 31, the government tapped Vanessa to promote the Philippines, even if it was just her first time visiting the country.

She was also set to make a documentary about her ‘Filipino roots’ directed by Presidential Adviser on Creative Communications (OPACC) Paul Soriano.

However, some netizens questioned Vanessa’s qualifications and even compared the Hollywood actress to K-Pop star Sandara Park, known for actively promoting the Philippines despite being a pure-blooded South Korean.

“What did vanessa hudgens even do? sandara or bretman promotes ph more than she does LMAOO vanessa’s just now relying on her filo genes cuz she’s flopping and she knew pinoys are overproud and will eat everything up especially from a western celebrity,” a netizen asked.

“The way Sandara Park has nary a drop of Filipino blood coursing through her veins, yet has done so much more for the Philippines than Vanessa Hudgens ever could.” netizen Salvador remarked.

“I don’t even agree in gatekeeping the Philippines from Vanessa Hudgens, but I agree with this tweet. Sandara Park should be in her place.” netizen @nmjnee remarked.

In 2017, Sandara received praise from netizens after she encouraged South Koreans to visit the Philippines.

Before becoming a K-Pop artist, Sandara gained fame in the country after placing second in Star Circle Quest in 2004.

In 2007, she decided to return to South Korea and signed a contract with YG Entertainment.

She then gained international fame after becoming a member of the K-pop girl group 2NE1 in 2009.

Netizens celebrated the victory of chess prodigy Bince Rafael Operiano at the 6th Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championship that was held in Thailand.

While netizens and the government were praising Bince, many were not aware of the hardships that he experienced before flying to Thailand to compete with 20 other players from different countries.

In a Facebook post, Albay 3rd District Representative Fernando Cabredo revealed that Bince, who’s just nine years old, was forced to sleep for three days at Ninoy Aquino International Airport because of uncertainties about his plane ticket.

And when the ticket arrived, Bince traveled alone to Thailand and spent the first day of the competition without his father.

Due to limited funds and while waiting for the plane ticket sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission, Bince and his father spent three nights at the airport with those benches as their bed,” Cabredo said.”The little boy had to travel first to Thailand without his father, Mr. Ben Operiano,” he added.

The lack of guardian affected his performance during his first day in Thailand because he was not used to traveling without his father.

Fortunately, his father arrived on the second day, and his confidence returned, defeating other participants.

In an interview, Mr. Operiano shared that he decided to stop working to guide his son’s career, but at the same time, they’re also having difficulties because of a lack of funds.

Mr. Operiano shared that he’s actively searching for sponsors to fund the dream of Bince.

Mr. Operiano said.

Philippine Sports Commission didn’t explain why it took three days for them to give the ticket to Bince and why they didn’t shoulder the accommodation of the chess prodigy while waiting at NAIA.

“Aga, yes, I would be open to working with him. To your dad, no.” Janice quickly answered.
