Angeline Quinto, ibinahagi na halos tumigil na siya sa pag-awit: “Ayoko nang gawin ang lahat, ultimo ang pagkanta ko”

Singer Angeline Quinto revealed that she almost gave up her career in singing because of a devastating chapter of her life.

In an interview with Toni Gonzaga, Angeline said that she almost decided to retire as a singer because of the passing of her adoptive mother Sylvia Quinto.

It can be remembered that Sylvia passed away in November 2020, months after having a stroke.

“Noong nawala ang Mama, ayoko na. Ayoko nang gawin ang lahat, ultimo ang pagkanta ko. Parang nawala na ‘yung laging papalakpak para sa akin,” she said.

“Kaya ngayon, kapag kumakanta ako, gusto ko laging may isang upuan para [naiisip] ko na lagi siyang nandyan.” she added.

Angeline started her career in when she joined the reality singing contest Star for a Night in 2003.

She decided to start her career again in singing in 2010 after a five-year hiatus.

The singer started to gain fame when she won Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar in 2011.

She signed a record deal with Star Music and started to create popular songs, including “Patuloy Ang Pangarap”.

Angeline then tried acting and appeared in an episode of Maalala mo Kaya.

She’s currently with her non-showbiz boyfriend Nonrev Daquina and their relationship resulted to one child.
