Rendon Labador, sinabing dalawang beses siyang inalok na maging parte ng Batang Quiapo: ‘Hindi namin pinansin’

Rendon Labador confirmed that he received an offer to become a cast of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo not only once, but twice.

In a video, Rendon confirmed that he received an offer from the production team of the Kapamilya show, including its leading actor Coco Martin.

However, the motivational speaker ignored the offer twice because he thought that the people talking to him was not ‘corporate’ enough.

Aside from that, the Batang Quaipo team didn’t give him a clear detail about his role in the show.

Rendon said.

“Nag follow up sila ng second time at gusto daw nila ako i include, tinawagan namin sila at nakausap.

Rendon was responding to the statement from Coco, admitting that he offered the motivational speaker to be part of Batang Quiapo.

The actor also told his colleagues to ignore Rendon.

It can be recalled that Rendon captured the attention of some casts of the show after he criticized Coco and his production team for affecting the businesses of stall owners in Quiapo.

“Hindi pa ba tumitigil? Tigas ng muka mo COCO MARTIN, kailangan pa bang sabihan kita ng dalawang beses?” Labador said.

Airline company receives criticisms from a pastor doing search and rescue for not allowing their baggage without paying

An Airline company received criticisms on social media after a volunteer complained because their baggage has been denied check-in.

In a social media story, Pastor Jasper Ivan Iturriaga who’s on a mission to search for the missing crew of a helicopter piloted by volunteer missionary Daniel Lui called out Cebu Pacific for not allowing their baggage because it was too long.

According to him, they were asked to pay an additional fee to allow their baggage to be transported.

“They need to charge us coz it’s 8 inches too long. We told em it’s from volunteers doing search and rescue but won’t give us consideration,” Pastor Jasper said.

“@cebupacific y’all not nice.” he added.

Daniel and another volunteer nurse Janelle Alder went missing on March 1 and the Pastor didn’t stop searching for the possible location of the missing crew.

Members of the AFP also helped the pastor to locate the missing crews, but until today, the search and rescue have no results yet.

Meanwhile, netizens criticized the said airline company for not giving consideration to the pastor.

“This is not something new! They will never change as long as people are still patronizing them. It took me just one bad experience, never again!” netizen Erma Etena said.

It’s civil to be obedient to the rules but humanity is greater than anything else. Kahit konting consideration sana. That extra 8 inches won’t really cause an airline to crash, would it @Cebu Pacific Air?” netizen Piamonte asked.

However, some still defended Cebu Pacific from the criticisms.

“They just following the procedures. Hindi yan pera pera. Miski yung timbang.

Liza Soberano on Monday, finally revealed how much her managers took from her talent fee during her career in the Philippines.

In an interview, the actress gave a breakdown of the commissions being deducted from her earnings by former talent manager Ogie Diaz, ex-road manager Jonilyn Castillo, and Star Magic.

“I started with him [Diaz] at 2012 and then up until year 2015 or 2016 which was when I was seventeen thirty percent po ‘yung commission niya sa akin, my Tita Joni was taking twenty percent and Star Magic was taking ten percent.” said Liza.

“I also pay US taxes alongside my Philippine taxes because I’m a US citizen and a Filipino citizen so my total take home was around thirty percent,” she added.

Veteran journalist Jay Sonza is one of the popular figures who reacted to the revelation of Liza, saying that the actress has been allegedly tricked by her former management.

“SIKAT KA NGA, PERO IBA ANG YUMAMAN SA KINITA MO. Ang nagdudumilat na katotohanan.” Sonza said.

“Base on her recent revelations, and on account of the tax regime applied on taxable income, it would appear that her ACTUAL net income is roughly in the minimum of 28% ONLY.

“Tapos, dito pa kinukuha iyong up keep tulad ng wardrobe, jewelries, hygiene, mobility, iyong lambing o harbat ng mga movie reporters/announcers, bayad sa alalay, make up artist, etc.

“Mula sa gross amount of Contract/Engagement/Shoot or Taping Fees, kukunin ang mga komisyon ng talent manager (30%), guardian/talent scout/road manager (20%) and star magic/abs-cbn talent center (10%), plus other taxes (VAT, Income) and other mandatory & legal deductibles.

“EXPLOITATION BA ANG TAWAG DOON?”

Ogie Diaz to the netizens accusing him of being ‘mukhang pera’: “Sana may komisyon din kayo!”

Talent manager Ogie Diaz responded to the netizens accusing him of making his former talent Liza Soberano a milking cow.

In his statement, the talent manager said that he would just let the people accuse him if that would make them happy.

He insisted that he never experienced any issue about money and he even claimed that he was the one being tricked financially.

It can be recalled that Liza in an interview with Boy Abunda revealed that during her early years as an actress, Ogie was taking 30% commission from her talent fee, 20% was being taken from her by her aunt Joni Castillo-Pillarana and Star Magic also deducted 10% from her.

Because of the commissions, Liza said that she only receive 30% of her income because of the taxes she also required to pay.

Ogie admitted he considered his former talent a ‘blessing’.

So alam mo ‘yung marunong ang Diyos at the same time ay magkakaibigan pa rin kami ni Vice Ganda,” Ogie said in an old interview.

It can be recalled that some business owners complained that their sales were affected by the taping being held in Quiapo.

Rendon then responded to Shernan, saying that he doesn’t care who Coco is.
