Businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles went viral on social media after the Sandiganbayan second division junked the 16 graft cases filed against her.
The public expressed disappointment with the news, especially since Napoles has been accused of using her businesses and organization in ghost projects allegedly being funded by the pork barrel from public officials.
Aside from Napoles, her daughter Jeanne also went viral on social media in 2018 because of her posts on social media, showing her luxurious lifestyle.
In a video posted on Youtube, it can be shown the lavish party of Jeane during her 21st birthday together with her friends.
She can also be seen with several Hollywood celebrities including Justin Bieber.
Jeane also owned a luxury car that she received as a birthday gift from her parents.
It was reportedly that Jeane also owned a unit at the Ritz Carlton Residences in California that would cost millions of pesos.
Meanwhile, Napoles said that all the funds used to finance her daughter came from legitimate income.
“Wala po na nanggaling sa gobyerno, ni piso. Lahat pong yan ay hanapubuhay namin galing sa aming pinaghirapan. Kaming mag-asawa ay nagpapakamatay na maghanapbuhay para maibigay po namin sa aming mga anak.” Napoles said.
The daughter of Napoles went missing from the public eye since her mother got involved to the PDAF issue.
