Fans were asking why Alden Richards didn’t attend the wedding of his former love team Maine Mendoza and her husband Arjo Atayde.

On July 28, Maine and Arjo tied the knot in Baguio City.

Several Dabarkads and showbiz personalities also attended the event

AlDub fans and netizens couldn’t stop themselves from wondering why Alden who’s one of the main reasons for Maine’s success was absent during the special day of the actress.

However, some fans of Maine defended the television host, saying that Alden might steal the spotlight from the newlyweds.

“Quick check: Like if you want Alden to attend the wedding of Arjo and Maine for peace and good times’ sake. Comment if you think this will just be a distraction and will take away from the focus of the bride and groom,” netizen Pam said.

It’s not yet known if Alden was not really invited to the wedding.

In his social media posts, Alden can be seen attending the party of his e-sports team Myriad Esports.

In a past interview, Alden said that Maine was a ‘huge part’ of his life.

He also admitted that he had differences and misunderstandings with Maine before.

“She’s going down a path that, she told me, she has wanted ever since. Maine is very goal-oriented in life—by this age, I should be this. And now she’s there,” said Alden.

“I’m happy for them, sincerely. And I tell her that. I really wish her well. She deserves it,” he added.

Quezon City 1st district Representative Arjo Atayde and television host Main Mendoza’s wedding in Baguio City went viral on social media on July 28, 2023.

The chosen wedding date of Maine and Arjo was symbolic of their relationship as July 28 was the day when the television host manifested her relationship with the actor-politician.

July 28 was also the date when Maine and Arjo first met together during the story con of ‘Jack Em Popoy: Puliscredibles.

While people were celebrating the wedding of two celebrities, some members of AlDub Nation, the massive fanbase of Maine, and Alden Richards’s love team were in denial of the special event.

AlDub nation pioneer member Mila Cambal claimed that Arjo married a clone of Maine and the real television host was taking care of her three children with Alden.

“Balita ko Garden wedding daw ang ganap sa Baguio.. hahaha.. forecast maghapon uulan.. good luck..paano walang simbahang papayag sa Fake na kasal. Anyway di naman totoong M yun.. si Clonie ang ikakasal kay Panot.. nandun nagaalaga ng 3 anak si Mumshie,” Cambal said.

Another even tried to debunk the legitimacy of the wedding by checking the weather of Baguio.

“Lakas ng ulan and hangin tapos mag post ng pix na naka sleeveless at walang jacket. Yong background na tress di man lang hinampas ng hangin Bagyo sa Baguio. Tapos pix parang summer. Common sense is really not common.” netizen EBA commented.

It can be recalled that both Alden and Maine already addressed their fans to stop creating stories about them.

Anthony ‘Ka Tunying’ Taberna gave an update about the cyber libel charges he filed against vlogger Maharlika.

In an interview with the press, Ka Tunying said that the Pampanga Regional Trial Court found probable cause in the case he filed against the vlogger.

It can be recalled that Ka Tunying filed charges against Maharlika after the latter claimed that the journalist was not paying the right amount of taxes.

The authorities were already tasked by the court to put Maharlika under their custody.

Ka Tunying admitted that he was not really planning to pay attention to Maharlika until the vlogger mentioned his daughter Zoey.

He was also wondering about Maharlika’s intention to the Filipinos if she was already living in America.

“Sabi ko nga, hindi ko alam kung ano talaga ang intensiyon niya sa bansa natin,” Taberna said.

“Kung hindi naman dual citizen, kung siya ay American citizen, what would be her intention of inflicting malice to everything that we as Filipinos are doing? Hindi ko alam, e,” he added.

The journalist was planning to ask the assistance of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the US Embassy to serve the warrant against Maharlika.

As of writing Maharlika has yet to release a statement on the case she was facing.

Comedian and beauty queen Herlene Budol talked about the decision of Wilbert Tolentino to resign as her talent manager.

In her vlog, Herlene confirmed that Wilbert really decided to resign due to health and family reasons.

She also mentioned the things she received from her former talent manager.

“Lahat ng nakikita niyo sa akin, head to foot, bahay at lupa, crown, YouTube, cellphone, alahas, endorsements… Lahat ng yan si Sir Wilbert ang nagbigay sa akin.” she said.

Herlene’s statement debunked the rumors about her issue with Wilbert.

It can be recalled that on July 8, Wilbert took a swipe against the attitude of allegedly one of his talents.

Comedian and beauty queen Herlene Budol announced that she would officially retire from joining beauty pageants after parting ways with her former manager Wilbert Tolentino.

She announced her major decision through her vlog, saying that she realized the criticisms she received from pageant fans who told her that she was not competent enough to become a beauty queen.

“Nasasaktan lang po ako kasi parang totoo po ‘yung sinasabi niyo na parang pinipilit ko lang po talaga na sumali, na hindi ko po deserve, nagsusubok lang po ako.” Herlene tearfully said.

“Nagsusubok lang po ako na abutin ‘yung mga pangarap ko, na magkaroon po ako ng crown, na ma-represent ko po ‘yung Pilipinas pero hindi ko po pala kaya,” she added.

Herlene also apologized for the issues she started including her controversial performance at the Q&A of the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 pageant.

“Humihingi po ako ng sorry sa inyong lahat. Sa mga may ayaw po sa ‘kin, titigil na po ako. Hindi ko na po ipipilit ‘yung sarili ko.” she stated.

However, Herlene vowed to continue her advocacy to make other people happy.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin revealed the plan of television host Willie Revillame to return to TV5 after his failed stint at AllTV.

In her online program, Cristy talked about the said plan that reportedly already foiled

“Eto po palang si Willie Revillame ay gagawa ng isang show sa TV5,” Fermin revealed.

“Hindi po natin alam, may kinakausap pala siya na tao para ipasok siya sa TV5, dapat pala ay magkakaroon dapat talaga katuparan ‘yung kanyang kagustuhan kaya lang hindi nagkasundo.

According to Cristy, the negotiations between Willie and TV5 had failed because of the talks about the talent fee.

“Ang gusto pala ni Willie, co-production, nung hindi nagkasundo sa co-production gusto niya i-produce siya ng TV5 [na] talent lamang siya,” she said.

“Ang gusto pala ni Willie ay siya ay suswelduhan ng isang istasyon sa presyo na talaga namang nakakalula,” she added.

She didn’t disclose the exact amount of the talent fee demanded by Willie.

Cristy’s co-host Wendell Alvarez believed that Willie should have avoided demanding for talent fee if he really wanted to revive his career.

“Hindi na pwedeng maibalik kung magkano dati ‘yung kinikita mo,” Another co-host of Cristy, Rommel Chika said.

It can be recalled that Willie lost his popularity after his sudden transfer to AllTV after his successful hosting on GMA Network.

Vice Ganda and Jessica Soho didn’t meet during the GMA Gala Night 2023 after the comedian reportedly evaded the award-winning journalist.

According to the report by Glitter Channel, Vice didn’t pursue talking to Jessica after the journalist was rumored to refuse the idea of letting the comedian appear on one of her shows in GMA.

The Facebook page added that Vice and Jessica were very near to each other during the event, but the two refused to interact with each other.

The possible meeting between Vice and Jessica would have been one of the most talked about topics during the event.

It can be recalled that Vice and Jessica had a longtime feud after the comedian made an insensitive joke about the journalist during his concert in 2013.

Vice admitted that he tried to reach Jessica personally, but his efforts turned out to be a failure.

It was the opposite of what happened to Ogie Diaz and Suzette Doctolero, who hugged each other when they met at the Gala after years of criticizing each other.

Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador couldn’t hide his disappointment toward comedian Vice Ganda.

It can be recalled that an episode of It’s Showtime became controversial after Vice and his boyfriend Ion Perez performed seductive gestures while eating a cake in front of several children.

Through a video message, Rendon addressed Vice and called the actions made by the comedian ‘kahayupan,’ saying that what they did should not be consumed by the general public.

“Hindi ko maintindihan ay kung bakit kailangan niyong gawin, ipakita ‘yung kahayupan ninyo sa national tv at ang pinakamalala ay sa harap pa ng mga bata, sa noontime show na pinapanood ng lahat,” said Rendon.

“Ano ang rason. Hindi ba kayo makapagpigil or t*ng* lang kayo? Alam niyo ba na mayroong lugar para diyan. Ikaw Ion Perez, isa ka pa. Palamunin ka na nga ganyan ka pa. Palamunin ka na bad influence ka pa,” he added.

He also called out ABS-CBN and It’s Showtime management for tolerating Vice and Ion’s actions.

Rendon surprisingly gained support from his fans, saying that Vice and Ion should not be tolerated especially that children were involved.

“Kahit baliw tingin natin dito kay Rendon, tama tong sinasabi and pinaglalaban nya this time!” netizen Supremo said.

Heart Evangelista’s old video went viral on social media amid the rumored issue between her and her former glam team.

In the video that was uploaded last June, Heart captioned that she was ready to spend some money to relieve her stress when someone tricked her, but she realized she couldn’t use her credit card anymore.

“Yung ready ka na sana mag waldas dahil may nang*g* sayo pero nakalimutan mo may na 24 months to pay na pala sa card mo,” she said.

Several netizens guessed that Heart was referring to the credit card issue that had been rumored to be the reason why she fired her glam team.

Meanwhile, Justin Louise Soriano, one of Heart’s former makeup artists, denied the accusations that they used the credit card of the actress without her permission.

However, he denied that the reason why they were fired was related to money.

Justin also insisted that Heart was the only one who maxed out her credit card, and people only misinterpreted her TikTok post.

Award-winning actress Elizabeth Oropesa declared that she was no longer supporting the Marcos family after she received criticisms from the ‘loyalists’ due to her video that she addressed to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

In her Facebook post, Elizabeth complained about the reaction she received from her former allies, saying that they besmirched her.
