The rider who went viral on social media after doing a dangerous motorcycle stunt along the Marilaque Highway in Rizal finally ended his silence amid the criticism he was receiving.

In his post, Recs Akmad refused to apologize for his actions, saying that the criticism he was receiving on social media would only increase his views.

“Thank you sa mga basher, dumami views ko,” Akmad said.

In another post, Akmad said that he was not affected by the criticism he received because most people didn’t know the whole story of the incident, even if the whole scene was recorded and publicized on social media.

“Ubusin nyo na lahat ng pang bash nyo wala naman kayong ambag sa buhay ko hindi nyo naman alam ang tunay na nang yare kaya ubusin niyo na pang bash niyo,” he said.

It can be recalled that Akmad was one of the motorcycle riders who performed the ‘Superman stunt’ while speeding along Marilaque.

The video published on social media showed that Akmad remained in his Superman position despite the sharp curve approaching.

Meanwhile, his colleague, Moto Vlogger John Louie “Motopush” Arguelles, was sideswiped by Akmad, resulting in them ramming the road barrier and some tourists resting in the area.

Arguelles passed away after several attempts to be treated.

Akmad was reportedly facing multiple charges for the outcome of his stunt.

Netizens were disappointed by Akmad’s unapologetic behavior.

“Imbes na humingi ka ng paumanhin at nag pakumbaba, pinairal mo pa pride mo. Kung sinabi mo sana na wag kang tularan sa pagiging bida bida at inamin ang pagkakamali mo, baka maaring matanggap ka pa ng iba. Hindi ka mababash kung hindi mo ginawa yon,” a netizen said.

Despite the criticism he received on social media, rider Rico Akmad, also known as ‘Recs’ in the rider community, still gained support from his colleagues.

On his Facebook page, Akmad received well-wishes from his friends after he was hospitalized for doing a dangerous stunt along the Marilaque Highway in Rizal, which resulted in the loss of one life and multiple injuries.

“Pagaling ka Recs Akmad,” some of his friends posted on the rider’s timeline.

It can be recalled that Akmad was being blamed for not stopping his dangerous stunt despite the approaching curve, which resulted in him losing control and sideswiping the Moto vlogger John Louie “Motopush” Arguelles.

Known for his motorcycle stunts

Even in the past, Akmad was already known to the people visiting Marilaque as he was often doing motorcycle stunts every time he got a chance.

In his past post, he talked about cornering in the sharp curves of Marilaque and also doing the Superman stunt, which eventually resulted in the unfortunate incident.

“Hindi talaga maka banking ng sagad pag naka rim set at lowerd kaya sumasayad pero sumasabay parin naka superman pa [laugh and evil emoji]” he said.

Akmad reportedly faced multiple charges that may cost him a lot of money.

The rider who was believed to be the cause of a Moto vlogger’s demise last weekend was now being investigated by the authorities.

According to the reports, the rider, who was captured doing a dangerous stunt along Marilaque Highway in Rizal, was now in the hospital and receiving medical treatment for mild injuries.

Members of Rizal PNP also visited the rider as part of their investigation.

The rider may face multiple charges, which include reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, damage to property, and physical injuries.

According to some frequent visitors of Marilaque, the rider was known for doing dangerous stunts every week on the highway and even tried to evade the authorities several times.

It can be recalled that the rider rammed a crowd of tourists after he overshot and ended up at the road barrier.

He also sideswiped the moto vlogger identified as John Louie Arguelles, which resulted in the latter passing away.

Arguelles left his 3-year-old child fatherless.

Marilaque was considered one of the most dangerous highways in the Philippines but also one of the most visited by motorcycle riders who wanted to challenge themselves in traversing sharp curves.

As of writing, the Rizal Provincial Government has yet to give their comment on how they would ensure that the incident will not happen again.

The driver who went viral on social media after being accused by a student of fantasizing about her was now asking the public to stop the criticism against the latter.

It can be recalled that student Daniella Charlize Ramos claimed that the ride-hailing driver, Jerricho Narvaez, played with himself while they were inside the vehicle, prompting her to post the latter’s identity on social media.

However, Ramos received criticism on social media as she couldn’t provide enough evidence to prove her claim against the driver.

Narvaez edited his response to Ramos and urged the public to stop criticizing the latter despite the damage caused by the student in his job.

“Mga kasama nagpapasalamat po ako sa inyong pang unawa at suporta. Nauunawaan ko po ang inyong galit, dahil grabe din po ang aking pinagdadaanan ngayon. Pero sana ay wag po nating personalin at i-bash si Ms. Daniella. Nanalig na lang po ako sa imbestigasyon ni Grab. Maraming salamat po,” he said.

Netizens also noticed that Narvaez was actively deleting below-the-belt comments on his post about Ramos.

He also set his comments section to limit to prevent more comments against the student.
