OPM legend Hajji Alejandro, nasa kritikal na kondisyon

OPM Legend Hajji Alejandro was reportedly in critical condition after several of his relatives and families asked the netizens for prayers.

In an Instagram post, broadcaster Arnold Clavio claimed that Hajji has stage four cancer.

“Prayers for our music icon HAJJI ALEJANDRO . He ahad colon cancer stage 4 & spread to his lungs & liver. Nothing is impossible with prayers. Beside is his mom. Healing prayers sent,” said Arnold.

Other people who knnew Hajji personally also confirmed that the singer was in hospital.

“He is intubated. Nagkaroon pa ng mga seizures kanina. The family decided not to accept any visitors for now. We have to respect that. More prayers needed for not to suffer. Kindly pray for the wellness of Mr. Alejandro,” another Facebook post read.

However, Alejandro’s partner denied that the singer was in critical condition, calling it fake news.

Hajji became popular because of his songs, “Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika,” “Panakip Butas,” and “Nakapagtataka.”

Diwata, nakatanggap ng batikos dahil sa kanyang ginawa sa Benguet

Internet personality Deo Balbuena, a.k.a ‘Diwata, was receiving criticism on social media after his recent actions during his visit to Benguet.

According to the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), Diwata mocked the Indigenous People (IP) when he wore the traditional Igorot attire while doing weird actions.

In the said video published by Diwata on social media, the internet personality could be seen doing indian shouts and gestures which were far from the true depiction of the said (IP).

Diwata also called the attire ‘costume,’ which was labeled as NCIP as culturally irresponsible.

“The incident highlights the persistent challenges in the Information and Education Campaigns (IECs) aimed at decolonizing the mindset of the Filipino population towards ICCs/IPs. These campaigns strive to dismantle and exorcise the stereotypes and misconceptions that are deeply entrenched in the Filipino psyche,” the NCIP-Cordillera statement read.

“The commission is urging all stakeholders, particularly the owners of rental stalls and other business establishments frequented by tourists, especially those operated by ICCs/IPs, to be more responsible. “We urge them to educate and subtly remind their patrons about the appropriate use of ICCs/IPs’ cultural materials and expressions,” they added.

As of writing, Diwata has yet to give any response to the statement published by NCIP.

Diwata was running as the fourth nominee of Vendor’s party-list.

Actress Awra Briguela couldn’t hide his disappointment after repeatedly being called ‘Bronny James’ by several netizens.

Convoy na umano’y mula sa “PNP Chief” hinuli ng DOTR dahil dumaan sa busway

A convoy, which consisted of several vehicles, was apprehended by the members of the Department of Transportation’s Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (DOTr-SAICT) after they used the bus lane without authorization.

In exclusive footage gathered by GMA News, members of SAICT are seen arguing with some of the convoy members who introduced themselves as cops.

According to one of the cops, they used the bus lane because they were rushing for an agenda in Camp Crame.

However, SAICT didn’t buy the explanation of the apprehended.

When asked who was guarded by the convoy, the cops only said it was the ‘PNP chief.’

It’s unknown whether they were referring to the PNP Chief Police General Rommel Marbil.

Most of the convoy left the scene, but one of them returned to get the ticket.

It can be recalled that several officials were already apprehended by DOTr-SAICT and received praise from the netizens for not being intimidated by the people they were catching.

A Chinese student of a high-end private institution, British School Manila in Bonifacio Global City, who was allegedly abducted last week, was reportedly recovered by his parents.

According to the report from Binondo-based newspaper Shangbao, the 14-year-old Malaysian-Chinese national, Andy Wan, was allegedly bought by his driver to the province of Bulacan.

A group reportedly asked the parents for a $20-M ransom.

It was unknown if the parents demanded ransom from the group.

There were reports that the boy already returned to his family, but some photos circulating on Filipino-Chinese community forums showed that he lost one of his fingers.

In an internal letter released to the parents, British School Manila head Martin Van Der Linde vowed to provide support to the students, including to the victim.

“We understand that this news may cause unrest, and our counseling team is ready to provide support to students,” said Linde.

Phhua also reported that the style of the abduction was similar to some incidents that happened in Hong Kong.

“In cases like this where the hostages are successfully rescued after paying the ransom, there are generally powerful underground society bosses as communication channels for both parties, and guarantees that the hostages will be released after the ransom is paid,” according to the report.

Actor Frederick Von Baron, also known as Baron Geisler, was put under the custody of the authorities on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Mandaue City due to drunkenness.

Mandaue City PNP public information officer Pol. Col. Mercy Villaro said that they received a call from Baron’s in-laws because they couldn’t control the actor’s behavior.

According to Villaro, Baron ran amok, which forced the in-laws of the actor to call the authorities.

Mandaue City PNP received the call around 3:00 A.M.

Villaro said that Baron didn’t assail anyone, but he was still liable for not following the City Ordinance 11-2008-434, which prohibits public drunkenness.

Baron was fined P500 before leaving the custody of the authorities.

Vice Ganda, may patama sa isang ASAP singer na mahilig mag-tantrum

Vice Ganda went viral on social media after he mentioned a blind item about a certain singer from ASAP who was known for having tantrums.

During one of It’s Showtime episodes, Vice said that not all singers were acting correctly.

“Nako marami ding singers na hindi behave… nagta-tantrums,” said Vice. “Lalo na pag walang dressing room,”

“May kilala kami pag dalawa lang ang kinakanta sa ASAP, nagwawala kasi apat na numbers [ang gustong kantahin],” he added.

He even asked one of his co-hosts, Ogie Alcasid, to vet his blind item, but the latter refused to give a proper response to the comedian.

Actor and singer Carlos Agassi shared some updates about his current relationship with his former colleagues in his former all-boy group ‘The Hunks.’

The Hunks was a group formed by Carlos, Diether Ocampo, Bernard Palanca, Piolo Pascual, and Jericho Rosales.

In an interview, Carlos said that the group was disbanded because most of the members wanted to pursue a solo career.

“Pag group kasi pantay-pantay kami sa lahat, sa exposure, sa tf [talent fee], sa career, so para makaangat ‘yung iba, parang nabuwag,” said Carlos.

“Kahit noong napilayan ako, walang nag-check sakin,” he added.

He also narrated that he didn’t ask for a talent fee when they decided to reunite, but he was ignored when it was his turn to ask for a favor.

However, Carlos said that he still maintained his civility when they had the chance to meet.
