Eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao revealed his rift with MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons.
During his meeting with Filipino-American boxing champion Nonito Donaire Jr., Pacquiao said that Gibbons was using his name in a bad way.
In a video uploaded by Mandirigma80 Sports, it can be seen that Donaire approached Pacquiao and told his problem with Gibbons.
It can be recalled that Donaire and Gibbons had a heated exchange after the latter disrespected the wife of the boxing champion during a confrontation between them in the US.
Donaire during that time warned Gibbons not to repeat the same action again.
“Sawayin mo yong kaibigan mong puti ha. Si Sean Gibbons, sobrang pasaway. Muntik na kami magkasuntukan niyan,” Donaire told Pacquiao.
Pacquiao then revealed to Donaire that he was also not happy with Gibbons who was handling his boxing promotions.
“Galit ako diyan,” said Pacquiao. “Ginagamit pangalan ko, sobrang dugas niyan.”
“Laging ginagamit ang pangalan ko, wala sa ayos.” he added.
It’s not yet known why Pacquiao called Gibbons a swindler.
Some netizens speculated that Pacquiao and Gibbons were not on good terms because of MP Promotions-related issues.
As of writing, Gibbons has yet to give any comment to the revelation of Pacquiao.
