The said incident gained millions of engagements from netizens and sparked a discussion on how pranks should be handled, especially for big brands like Taragis.
In a now-deleted statement, Taragis refused to be liable for the incident, but some brands didn’t waste the opportunity to gain brand exposure by helping the said man.
Several businesses pledged a certain amount to help the man; some even promised to give P100,000 to him.
Some businesses like Project Glow Up, and ChizMozza said that they would give P100,000 to the man.
Content creators like Atty. Anselmo S. Rodiel IV who also discussed the incident also promised to give P10,000.
Meanwhile, the business behind the said prank decided just to give P100,000 and also apologized for their previous statements.
