In a Facebook post, Lucky Pinoy, one of the top fans of Shaira, criticized the people outside Mindanao for trying to pull down the singer’s career because of being included in the minority.

According to the fan, the critics of Shaira lack comprehension, saying that the singer already disclaimed that other artists inspired some of her songs.

He even said that if content outside Mindanao had done the same thing, they would never criticize it.

The post has already reached 73 reactions on social media.

However, several experts believed that Shaira commercialized her song, which required her to legally acquire the rights to use a melody or sample of other artists’ creations.

It can be recalled that Shaira was facing a copyright issue due to her song “Selos”, which allegedly had the same melody with “Trouble is a Friend,” by Lenka.
