During the said pageant, Megan could be seen trying to fix the hair of Lesego during the question-and-answer segment.

However, some Botswanian netizens believed that Megan performed black magic against Lesego, which resulted in their contestant losing.

Some Botswanian netizens even posted a video to prove how Megan performed witchcraft against their contestant.

“In my own opinion, that presenter wasn’t fixing Lesego’s hair. And there was nothing wrong with her hair. The presenter wanted to remove Lesego’s confidence and also show judges that it wasn’t her natural hair but a wig,” a Botswanian netizen said.

“Today our Queen was restless tota…she could feel the negative vibes brought by the judges and that made her weaker inside though she confidently responded to the questions…. the Masons vs the kingdom of light…..” another netizen wrote.

However, Filipino fans quickly defended the Filipina beauty queen, saying that Megan has no supernatural ability to perform magic.

Many people in Botswana still believed in witchcraft and people being accused as witches in the said country often experienced bad treatment.

In black culture, it’s also not a good gesture to touch someone’s hair.

They were often blamed in their country for misfortunes happening.
