Help poured towards veteran actress Deborah Sun after she lost her balance during one of the tapings of the Kapamilya show ‘Batang Quiapo.’
On January 22, 2024, Deborah was recording her final scene for the show when she suddenly tripped and fell.
She was rushed to the hospital due to the effects of the incident and told by the doctor that she was required to undergo an operation.
“Baka operahan daw at lagyan ng bakal,” the manager of Deborah, Tyrrone Escalante, told the press.
Deborah told Abante that Batang Quiapo production led by Coco Martin shouldered the expenses of her hospitalization.
“Na out of balance ako. Bumagsak ako padapa. Mukha ko una tumama sa sahig na semento. Nang iharap ako, pati pala balikat at braso hindi ko na makilos,” she said.
“Mamayang 3:00pm dadalhin ako sa operating room. Lalagyan ako ng cast na. Kailangan kasi meron akong anesthesia. Hindi malalagay iyon cast kung wala akong anesthesia. Kasi hindi ko kaya, masakit kasi ‘pag hinahawakan ako,” she added.
She then thanked some casts of Batang Quiapo for the help they sent to her, especially to Coco.
“Sobrang din nagpapasalamat ako kay Direk Coco Martin at ABS na hindi nila ako pinababayaan. Sagot nila lahat ang gastos dito sa hospital. Tawag nga din ng tawag iyon field cashier ni Direk Coco at kinakamusta at kung ano daw kailangan text or tawag agad sa kanila. Salamat talaga sa kanila,” she said.
