The fast-food restaurant crew member who went viral on social media after she was spotted offering the products outside their establishment decided to resign.
According to Pinoy Ako Blog founder Jover Laurio, the said crew, Shella Mae, left Chowking despite the claims of the fast-food giant that they didn’t fire the crew despite the controversy they faced.
Shella Mae denied that she was pressured by the restaurant to resign.
“I resigned po, not because I’m guilty no,” Shella Mae said. “It’s my decision and my family to resign the company, to move another opportunity,”
Meanwhile, Laurio offered Shella Mae to transfer to another company where she would not be asked to go outside and sell products.

Meanwhile, some netizens were unsure if Shella Mae really resigned from the company.
“I think finorced siya ng management na magresign.. Alam ko yan kc nagojt ako sa isang fast food para malinis yung record ng employee nila,” netizen @chubbycutie_ said.
“Can’t imagine the hardships that she went through which made her realized resignation is the best option for her. Magpapasko pa naman. Sana di masyado affected ung paghahanap nya ng bagong work coz of that incident,” netizen Gigi commented..
As of writing, Chowking has yet to give any statement on the resignation of their crew.
