Angel Locsin’s ‘Kalokalike,’ Mystica S. Barata passed away already, her family confirmed.
It can be recalled that Mystica went viral on social media after she introduced herself as a look-a-like of Angel and joined the popular It’s Showtime segment, ‘Kalokalike.’
On September 15, 2023, Mystica’s sister, Elena Solla Malyn, asked the netizens for help after the artist suddenly lost consciousness and was admitted to the ICU.
“My beloved sister, Mystica, is currently unconscious and admitted to the ICU. The medical expenses are huge, and we’re in dire need of support,” Elena wrote.
RAP Production announced the sad news two months after being hospitalized to Mystica’s fans.
“WE ARE SAD TO TELL YOU EVERYONE THAT OUR DEAREST ANGEL MYSTICA IS FINDING HER PEACE AND WAY BACK HOME TO THE HAND OF THE LORD,” the production company wrote.
RAP Production confirmed in an interview with balita.net.ph that Angel suffered from a brain aneurism, a condition with a low chance of survival.
“Angel Mystica is an actress from RAP PRODUCTION did the BL SERIES “One Day Pag-ibig,” “Paano Kaya Kung Tayo,” at “He’s Mine and Mystery of Love. A Showtime contender of Kalokalike Face 2. An influencer and a great friend, sister and daughter. She was admitted Sept 2023 at Philippine Heart Center due to brain aneurysm,” Director Ranz Gonzales of Rap Production disclsoed.
