Michelle Dee said that she felt sorry about not reaching the top 5 of the Miss Universe 2023.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Michelle said that while she felt happy after she represented the country in the prestigious pageant, she expressed regret for not reaching the question and answer portion of Miss Universe.
“It felt amazing. I love putting on a show, but most especially, I love just making all my countrymen so proud. Everything that I could afford to give, I left it on that stage.” she stated.
“Ultimately, I left it to destiny. Of course, it is not the result that we wanted, but I know as long as all of you are proud, as long as all of you saw the hard work and dedication that was made not just for myself but the whole team behind me as well, that’s enough for me. I hope you are all happy,” she added.
According to her, she prepared a lot for the final portion of Miss Universe and ensured that she would answer every possible questions that might be thrown at her.
“Sayang hindi ako nakahawak ng mi, but if anything just know that I was training the whole year to make sure that if ever I had that moment walang butas. But again, it is all about destiny,” she said.
It can be recalled that Michelle only reached the top 10 of the competition, disappointing many fans and even accused the Miss Universe organization of manipulating the results of the pageant to prevent the Filipino beauty queen from reaching the Q&A.
