Vlogger na si Bogito, hindi nakapasok sa isang tourist spot dahil sinisingil umano ng P5000

A Palaweño content creator went viral on social media after he revealed that he was being asked to pay P5,000 to visit a certain tourist spot in Palawan.

In his video, Bogito revealed that he was being asked by the management of Fort Santa Isabel in Taytay, Palawan to pay a hefty amount to produce a video inside the tourist spot.

According to him, he was surprised that the people managing Fort Santa Isabel were charging content creators as their videos would help to promote the place.

Bogito, who already had more than 400,000 followers said that he couldn’t afford to pay such an amount, which the management said was for a ‘production fee.’

Meanwhile, Fort Santa Isabel management said that the municipality of Taytay set the said prices for content creators like Bogito.

Bogito clarified that he was not trying to ruin the reputation of the Taytay and only wanted to showcase the place to his followers.

“Wala po kami ibang intensyon ‘don na masama,” said Bogito. “Ipinakita lang po namin kung ano ‘yung kaganapan doon,”

Fort Santa Isabel is a 350-year-old coastal fortification that still standing until today.

The National Historical Commission and the Taytay municipal government in 2019 collaborated to restore the features of the fort, a possible explanation for why they’re charging too much to their visitors who want to create content there.
