Raquel Pempengco believed that Jake Zyrus would not receive any help anymore from Oprah and David Foster because of the latter’s new appearance as a transman.
In an interview, Raquel became frank about rumors that Jake was trying to convince Oprah and David to help him recover his career after leaving his former self, Charice Pempengco.
However, Raquel believed that there was no chance for Jake to receive assistance because of his decisions.
“Hindi naman totoo ‘yon, na bumabalik… kasi siyempre ikaw na rin ang mag-iisip, pinutol na nila ‘yong ano… kung ako rin naman si Oprah, bakit ko pa tutulungan ‘yong ganiyan ang hitsura kung hindi na talaga siya ano sa market,” said Raquel.
“Kung imamarket nila ‘yong katulad niya (Jake) mahihirapan sila,” she added.
According to Raquel, David even asked her about Jake’s current capabilities, asking her if her child could still sing on a high note.
But Raquel believed that Jake’s transition had already affected his voice range.
Even if Jake had already lost his Charice’s voice, Raquel said that she would still welcome her child anytime and admitted that she was waiting for his return.
As of writing, Jake has yet to respond to the interview of his mother.
