Actor Kier Legaspi revealed that it was already a long time since his last conversation with his daughter, Dani Barretto.
In an interview, Kier disclosed that he was not trying to reach his daughter to his former partner, Marjorie Barretto, and was praying they would still get a chance to meet in the future.
The actor said he never got a chance to talk to Dani again after being separated from Marjorie.
However, Kier said that if God would make a way to reunite them, he was always ready to assist Dani.
“I’m just here, if you need me. Ang relationship ko sa kanya, ipinasa-Diyos ko na lang,” he said.
Kier said that he was still asking himself why his relationship with Dani deteriorated as he never became an irresponsible father to his daughter.
“Wala naman nakakita ng mga sacrifice ko kung papaano ko minahal si Aynrand, kung paano ko siya inaruga wala naman nakakita, eh. Hanggang ngayon wala naman akong kakampi which is okay kasi ang tao paniniwalaan niya ang gusto niyang paniwalaan pero ang Diyos hindi ganu’n,” said Kier.
Arynrand is the real name of Dani.
In 2019, Dani shared in an interview that she was not on good terms with Kier.
“To be honest, my dad and I never really had a solid relationship. All I know is he’s my dad and that’s it. We had a brief relationship which was like two months. It was nice,” Dani said.
Kier was also experiencing the same problem with Dennis Padilla, who’s also a former partner of Marjorie.
It can be recalled that Dennis was trying to reach his children to Marjorie several times, but it always ended in failure.
