Talent manager Ogie Diaz believed that the means used by Abegail Rait and her daughter Francesca Rait to have a stepping stone in showbiz was only proper.
In his online show, Ogie said that there was nothing wrong if Abegail wanted to gain exposure quickly by revealing that she was an illegitimate child of Francis Magalona.
He also believed that Francesca’s soft-spoken and respectful attitude was a huge plus.
“Ako feeling ko lang…tama yung diskarte ng mag-ina para mabilis yung pagkakakilanlan dito kay Francesca, kung mag-aartista ito. Tama lang yon,” he said.
“At saka mapapansin mo, yung bata, eh hindi naman epal, hindi naman parang sutil kung sumagot. Magalang pa rin naman. So bentahe rin niya yon.” he added.
It can be recalled that even if she was the alleged daughter of Francis, Abegail said that she wanted to build her own image despite repeatedly performing the master rapper’s song.
However, Francis’ former publicist, Pilar Mateo, was not impressed by the decision of the Rait family to use the master rapper as their stepping stone to showbiz.
“Ang kailangan sigurong paigtingin nilang mag-ina ay ayusin nila ang buhay nila, wag niyong banggain ang pamilya [Magalona],” she stated.
“Kasi ‘yung pamilya ni Francis, nagsasalita na at makikita mo na masama ang loob nila, which is karapatan nila ‘yun na sumama ang loob nila dahil nagugulat sila. Hayaan na muna sila, hayaan na muna ‘yung mga bata,” she added.
