Jake Zyrus’ mother, Raquel Pempengco, was already hopeless that her daughter would return as Charice Pempengco.
In a Facebook post, Raquel reacted to several news that Jake was trying to bring back his voice as Charice after his gigs reportedly resulted in a flop.
It can be recalled that several columnists claimed that fans didn’t want to watch Jake perform anymore because he was forcing his voice to become more masculine, far from his signature voice as Charice.
According to Raquel, fans should stop hoping Charice would return, as Jake has already decided.
“Huwag na po tayong umasa pa na babalik pa ang dating CHARICE..ako na po ang magsasabi nyan…Naniniwala po ako sa himala pero na kay Jake na ang desisyon para baguhin nya ulit sarili nya,” she said.
Raquel even joked that she would create another Charice if blessed with another baby.
“Kung papalarin po hintayin nio na lang na magkaroon ulit ako ng baby CHARICE pra idevelop ulit…hehehe kaya lang huwag umasa dahil masasaktan lang tayo lagi..Sana po Clear na sa atin lahat. Yung mga naglalabas po ng ganyang balita eh gusto lang pong dumami ang views nila…Hanggat di ninyo naririnig sa bibig mismo ni JAKE eh huwag po tayong maniniwala,” Raquel stated.
As of writing, Jake has yet to confirm if he was really trying to bring back her ‘Charice’ voice as some content creators are claiming.
