Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa believed that Socorro Bayanihan Services Incorporated (SBSI) leader Jey Rence Quilario, also known as ‘Senior Agila,’ was only controlled by someone.
In an interview, Dela Rosa said that there’s a possibility that Quilario was only being used as a front for SBSI and used his ‘divine’ reputation to gather followers.
“Sa nakita ko mukhang somebody was controlling from behind,” said Dela Rosa. “Ginamit lang ‘yung kanyang pagiging miraculous, ‘yung kanyang miraculous power to gain followership,”
It can be recalled that during the senate hearing, Quilario denied that it was his own decision to become the president of SBSI, saying that he was only pushed by its former president, Rosalina Taruc.
He also publicly denied that he introduced himself as the reincarnation of Jesus Christ.
Quilario also said that he was too young to commit the things he was accused of.
“Sana makinig po kayo sakin, hindi ko po magagawa yan [dahil] bata pa po ako, hindi nga po ako nakapagtapos ng pag-aaral,” said Quilario.
The statements made by Quilario gave a hint to the lawmakers that the leader of SBSI was possibly also being controlled.
That’s why the lawmakers urged Senior Agila to cooperate with them.
