In a Facebook post, Pura shared a selfie in front of the DOJ main office while wearing a drag outfit.

In her caption, Pura said that drag artists like her should not be persecuted because of her art.

“Nyelpi muna. Found 2 stray kittens on the bench. Let me state and reiterate that drag is NOT a crime. This experience has highlighted hypocrisy and is an education on hate. This is hate. We are facing these charges in the hopes of upholding the freedom of expression for ALL,” said Pura.
