On the September 5 episode of It’s Showtime, one of its co-hosts, Jhong Hilario read their explanation of why they were kept airing despite the decision from MTRCB.

According to them, they were still allowed to air as they were planning to appeal the decision made by the government agency headed by Lala Sotto.

“Habang nakabinbin ang motion for reconsideration, ang desisyon ng suspensiyon ng programa ay hindi pa pinal at epektibo. Kaya sa ngayon ay patuloy niyo pong mapapanood ang ‘It’s Showtime,'” said Jhong.

It can be recalled that MTRCB allowed It’s Showtime to file a Motion of Reconsideration within 15 days.

The suspension was related to the program’s hosts, Vice Ganda and Ion Perez who were seen eating a cake in a seductive manner in front of several children during the ‘Isip Bata’ segment.

In the said statement, MTRCB also listed some of the committed violations made by It’s Showtime this year.

Meanwhile, It’s Showtime fans accused Sotto of being biased and favoring her father’s show, E.A.T, which is a competitor of the Kapamilya show.
