Mayor Nina Jose-Quiambao of Bayambang, Pangasinan vowed to find the parents of some students who made rude comments against her.
In a lengthy Facebook post, Quiambao posted a screencap of the comments made by students, saying that she would never allow herself to be treated like that.
“Ang mga bata ngayon kailangan turuan ng good manners at right conduct talaga. marami taming walang modo at respeto. Masyado kayo feeling entitled! learn how to RESPECT people, boy! Sorry if mayabang ako at pinost ko pa to. But this is something I’m sure most public officials get on a daily basis. People don’t respect you anymore. And I REFUSE to be treated this way. I will find you and talk to your parents personally!” Quiambao said.
In the said comments, some students called Quiambao a ‘grade 2’ level while others dubbed her as ‘Engot’.
Meanwhile, netizens praised the Mayor for trying to correct the said students, saying that it was already time to teach them correct behavior.
“Grabe hindi man lang sila natatakot mag comment ng ganyan. Mga kabataan ngaun walang isip isip. Bigyan ng aral mga yan para sa susunod dina uulitin,” netizen Jaileen Tuscano said.
“Napakawalang respeto.Nag aaral pa man din..Sayang lang..Nakakalungkot para sa mga kabataan na may ganyang pag uugali,” said Manilyn.
However, some followers of the Mayor also called her out for showing the photo of the children.
