Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes was well-dressed during the disappointing loss of his team against Angola on August 27, 2023.
According to the social media page Basketball World, Reyes wore an expensive ‘outfit of the day’ or OOTD while coaching Gilas during the game.
Reyes wore a Thom Browne suit jacket and thom browne trousers, which were estimated to cost around 198,000 pesos.
The OOTD of Reyes gained different reactions from netizens, and also from motivational speaker Rendon Labador who’s also one of the top critics of the controversial coach.
“Ano ba kasi ‘yang suot mo? Para kang pupunta sa burol. Hindi mo ba alam na may laro ang Gilas kaya ganyan ang suot mo? Inuna kasi ang porma kesa panalo,” said Rendon.
“Maawa ka sa Pilipinas, Coach. Mag-resign ka na ASAP,” he added.
As of writing, Chot has yet to give a response to the netizens who were criticizing him.
Gilas was set to play with Italy, which is considered one of the strongest teams in FIBA.
