In his Instagram posts, De Leon was noticeably more active on social media in the past few days, and most of his posts were swipes against TAPE.

Netizens also noticed that De Leon was becoming more confrontational with his posts against the production company after TAPE successfully renewed its trademark ownership of Eat Bulaga for another 10 years.

In his new post, he took a swipe against Eat Bulaga, calling it ‘fake’ despite the statement from TAPE that they may file charges against people who will label their show as an imitation of the longest-running noontime show.

“Isang sampal este, sample pala ng napapanahong kasabihan—-“FAKE EAT AND LIVE EAT!” Ngek! He, he…”Take it or leave it” yata!” said Joey.

While many netizens believed that Joey was the really one who invented the title Eat Bulaga, some questioned him why they didn’t register it as a trademark under them during their stay with TAPE.

“Kung sa inyo po talaga yung name dapat in the first place pina trademark nyo na, bat ngayon lang? .Just saying,” netizen conan said.
