Radio host Czarina Marie “Chacha” Balba-Guevara was not impressed by the claims made by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. about the lowering prices of goods because of his Kadiwa program.
In her tweet, DJ Chacha said that the money being used to make the goods cheaper at Kadiwa markets comes from the taxpayers.
According to her, buying at Kadiwa stores was the same as purchasing goods at normal stores because of the tax being spent to maintain it.
She said that even at the Kadiwa store, people could not buy rice worth P20-kilo, which was one of the campaign promises of Marcos.

It can be recalled that several public officials opposed the said program because of the money being spent to maintain the Kadiwa markets.
Even President Marcos said that they would stop the Kadiwa program when the prices of goods started to stabilize.
