While still the most-watched noontime show in the past few days, TV5’s ‘E.A.T’ continues to suffer from decreasing ratings.
According to the data released by Nielsen Philippines on July 5, 2023, E.A.T received a rating of 4.6%, 0.4% lower than previously reported.
It means that E.A.T almost lost half of its popularity after achieving an 8.4% rating on July 1.
Eat Bulaga also experienced a -0.6% decrease in ratings, while It’s Showtime’s popularity increased by 0.4%.
Some observers already expected that E.A.T would experience a decrease in rating as many netizens were already complaining about the show’s lack of segment and content.
TV5 also reportedly had a lesser reach compared to GMA Network, which both aired Eat Bulaga and It’s Showtime on their channels.
It can be recalled that several netizens urged E.A.T to revive their popular segments, including ‘Pinoy Henyo,’ ‘Juan for all, All for Juan’, and ‘Bawal Judgmental.’
Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, the people behind the said noontime show, might wait for the decision of the Intellectual Property of the Philippines (IPOPHL) before reviving their segments.
TVJ already vowed to bring their popular segments on E.A.T, but they didn’t give an exact time when they would showcase it.
