In their online program, Cristy and her co-hosts, Rommel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, discussed TAPE’s financial stability to maintain the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga after all their original hosts left the show on May 31, 2023.

According to the veteran columnist, TAPE executives’ pride would prevail, but in the end, there’s a possibility that they would end their contract with GMA-7, which was due to expire in 2024.

Cristy said.

Rommel also noticed that while TAPE claims they’re already having financial difficulties, they’re still giving away so many prizes in their rebranded noontime show.

Rommel asked.

However, some supporters of TAPE Inc. believed that the executives would save a lot of money maintaining the show because their talent fee budget had been drastically reduced after the resignation of TVJ, who were required to be paid millions of pesos to appear on the show.
