It was reported that former Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon gained support from 80% of their former sponsors to put advertising in their new show on TV5.
According to a report made by Bilyonaryo, 80% of advertisers of Eat Bulaga already signed advertising contracts with the upcoming new show of TVJ and their other co-hosts who resigned from TAPE Inc. on May 31, 2023.
“The rest of its advertisers will follow after their pre-booked slots with TAPE have been aired,” the source said.
It can be recalled that TVJ and other Eat Bulaga hosts left TAPE because of several issues, including unpaid talent fees and an alleged decision by its executives to remove some people from the noontime show’s production.
One of the possible advertisers of TVJ’s new show was grocery chain Puregold which already expressed support for the decision made by the legendary trio.
Joey even became emotional after being checked on by the owner of the said company.
As of writing TAPE Inc. has yet to give any response to the decision of some of their sponsors to support TVJ.
It’s still not sure if the deal between TVJ and Eat Bulaga sponsors would affect TAPE Inc. financially and would force them to stop airing their rebranded noontime show.
