Former Eat Bulaga host and now content creator Gladys ‘Chuchay’ Guevarra gave her reaction after the decision of all Eat Bulaga hosts to leave TAPE Inc.
Gladys is now based in the US, together with her new partner Joel Mondina, popularly known as ‘Pambansang Kolokoy’.
In a Facebook post, Gladys who became one of the hosts of Eat Bulaga for 8 years expressed her sadness over the news, hoping that their departure would be peaceful.
She also expected that her former colleagues would find their new home soon.
“Sobrang lungkot naman ng ganito. Napabilang din ako Sa pamilya ng Eat Bulaga and sana lang may maganda o maayos na pagpapa alam ang mga hosts at co-hosts. Hats off sa tatlong institution . . . TITO, VIC and JOEY. At sa lahat ng co-hosts. Kahit saan kayo dalhin, panonoorin kayo ng tao. Maraming salamat sa inyo mga Dabarkads. Mabuhay kayo!!!” she said.
“Mula Aparri hanggang Jolo . . . Isang Libo’t isang tuwa . . . Buong bansa . . . Wag mainip, ilang kurap lang at bubulaga muli sila. Wag malungkot, wag mabahala, sabi nga ni Bossing “San man dalhin ng tadhana, tuloy ang Isang Libo’t isang tuwa” . . . Ilang araw lang yan, sasabay uli tayong makisigaw lahat ng . . . “EEEEEEEAAAATTT BULAGA!!!” she added.
On May 31, 2023, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon announced their resignation from TAPE Inc, amid the issue of unpaid talent fees and alleged decision of the production company to remove some original staff of Eat Bulaga.
