Manny Pacquiao, sasagutin ang pagpapagamot sa boksingero na na-coma matapos ang laban nito

Eight-division boxing world champion Manny Pacquiao vowed to shoulder the medical expenses of a 22-year-old boxer who slipped into a coma during his match in Cavite last May 6.

Kenneth Egano, a bantamweight boxer from Sarangani province collapsed after his eight-round match with Jason Facularin.

Egano has been rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, the boxer remained unconscious and the doctor already declared that he was in a coma.

The family of the boxer couldn’t hide their sadness especially since the condition of Egano was serious and they were also not capable enough to finance the medical expenses.

According to the doctors, Egano needs an emergency operation because of the clot in his right brain.

Fortunately, Pacquiao decided to help his townmate with his medical expenses.

“There is nothing more precious than human life,” Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao also reminded the people that boxing is a dangerous sport and boxers put their lives at risk every match.

“Boxing is truly a dangerous sport and the boxers deserve nothing but respect as they put their lives on the line. Other sports you play, but you don’t play boxing,” he said.

Meanwhile, Facularin expressed his support to his opponent and asked for prayers.

“Guys pray po natin si kenneth egano na safe ang kanyang operation at maka-recover siya,” Facularin said.
