Senator Robin Padilla vowed to ask the International Criminal Court (ICC) to be with Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa if the international tribunal decided to put the latter in their custody.
It can be recalled that Dela Rosa was facing an investigation before the ICC because of his role in ‘Oplan Tokhang’.
According to Padilla, he should also be put under the custody of the ICC because he also supported the policies of former President Rodrigo Dutete.
“Kung huhulihin nila si [Sen. Bato dela Rosa], isama na nila ako dahil ako is a ako sa mga sumuporta kay [dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte]. Walang iwanan nga eh. Sasamahan ko sila kung saan sila, tutal sanay naman tayo sa kulungan. Sa Abroad pa, naku masarap pagkain doon!” he said.
It can be recalled that in 1994, Padilla has been put behind bars until 1998 before being pardoned by former President Fidel Ramos.
Meanwhile, Dela Rosa said that he would avoid out-of-country trips because of the possibility of being detained.
“Be prepared. Hindi ako takot. Alam ko naman talaga na walang mangyari diyan kung hindi ako lalabas ng bansa. Ready lang tayo baka bigla tayo mahuli sa ibang bansa… Pwede arestuhin. Kailangan talaga mag-ingat kasi ‘pag andoon na, wala na, powerless naman tayo,” he stated.
