It can be recalled that the authorities and several groups launched a search and rescue operation for the missing teacher identified as Darlene Luzelle Uy who was last seen in Purok 8, Canlapwas, Catbalogan City on March 23.

Uy left her workstation around 3 p.m. only with her phone and P20 in hand and didn’t return since then.

The family of Uy offered a P250,000 reward to anyone who would help them to find the location of the teacher.

Fortunately, the search efforts for Uy bore fruit as the teacher has been found alive near Antiao River in the same barangay.
