Grilled balut is one of the currently trending street food in the country.
Business owners didn’t let the opportunity escape and decided to sell grilled balut also.
One of them was Zereen Atienza who decided to sell grilled balut that turned out to be a success.
However, despite the popularity of her new business, Atienza decided to close her business after she saw the effects of grilled balut craze to the balut vendors.
Because of the trend, the vendors of classic balut were struggling because people now prefer to eat the fertilized egg dish grilled and not steamed like the old ways.
“Grilled Balut is now Signing Off!! Atienza said.
“This past few days super natutuwa talaga kami kase napakaganda ng feed back na natatanggap namin dahil masarap daw yung grilled balut namin.
Kitang kita yung lungkot.
According to her, she decided to stop selling grilled balut, but planning to offer their sweet chili jam to their customers.
Pwede niyo ihalo sa binili niyong balut kay manong.” she said.
