Lily band vocalist Joshua Bulot called out motivational speaker Rendon Labador for making him sell tickets for the opening event of Episode Bar + Kitchen EP.
It can be recalled that Labador expressed his disappointment because of the low ticket sales of the event which according to him, cost him 1.2-M pesos.
“No ticket sales today, mamaya na ang grand opening event ng @episodebarandkitchen kahit isa wala pang bumibili. Coco fans, wala sanang personal. Pinag lalaban ko lang naman ang vendors,” Labador said.
“1.2 million ginastos ko para sa event ngayon. Tapos umaasa ako sa ticket sales. Till now NO SALES,” he added.
Some netizens attributed the low ticket sales of Labador’s business because of the negative publicity he received after criticizing the people behind FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
On March 25, Bulot posted his complaint to Labador for giving him a task that was not related to his job as a band vocalist.
“Medyo disappointed lang ako kay Rendon Labador kasi tutugtog kami doon as Lily pero ngayon pinapabenta niya ko ng ticket,” he said.
“Gusto niya pa doon sa tapat ng bar niya, magbenta ako doon, mamigay ako doon ng mga flyers doon and hindi naman namin trabaho ‘yun as lily, kakanta lang kami doon, hindi namin trabaho na magbenta ng ticket,” he added.
The statement Bulot received different reactions from the netizens.
However, some questioned if the vocalist was serious with his statement or just being creative by promoting the event.
