Eat Bulaga internal issue is reportedly over after Jalosjos family backs out of plans to remove Tony Tuviera

The issue between the executives of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) and Eat Bulaga reportedly ended peacefully.

In a report from Balita.net.ph, the Jalosjos family, who owns Tape and Eat Bulaga, decided to dismiss their plans to remove Tony Tuviera, the founding producer of the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines.

The Jalosjos family members were allegedly pressured by the negative publicity they received from the netizens who didn’t want the original hosts of Eat Bulaga, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, to leave the show.

They reportedly decided to keep all the production staff of Eat Bulaga to end the said issue.

Tuviera was also planning to retire from Eat Bulaga even without getting removed by the Jalosjos family.

It can be recalled that TVJ was planning to build their own noontime show in Net25 if the Jalosjos family ever insisted on their plans to remove Tuviera.

However, it seems that the legendary trio may now stay in Eat Bulaga because of the good outcome of the issue.

It can be recalled that several hosts, including Sotto and De Leon, gave some hint about the rumored internal issue.

Sotto and De Leon even took a swipe against the issue during one of Eat Bulaga’s episodes.

“Congratulations sa production ng Eat Bulaga,” Sotto said. “Keep up the good work, walang dapat baguhin sa production ng Eat Bulaga.”

“Ini-extend ko ang invitation sa inyong lahat, magkita kita ulit tayo after six years to celebrate Eat Bulaga’s 50 years on television. Imbitado kayo,” De Leon said.

“Tuloy tayo… 50 years of Eat Bulaga on television,” he added.
