Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin urged the executives of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) to speak about the rumored issue surrounding Eat Bulaga, the longest-running noontime show in the country.
It can be recalled that Fermin claimed that there was an internal issue between the officials of Eat Bulaga that may result in the rebranding of the noontime show and the removal of its current hosts.
Several publications then revealed that there was an alleged power struggle between Tape Inc.’s former chairman Romeo Jalosjos and Eat Bulaga’s founding producer Tony Toviera.
In the latest episode of her online program, Fermin said that many fans of Eat Bulaga were already worried by the issue. The officials of the noontime show should address it as soon as possible to end the speculation.
The hosts of the online program also praised the bound Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
They also believed that even if the TVJ created their show, they would still be popular because of their massive fanbase.
Fermin also believed that Tuviera was affected by the rumored plans to remove him from the show.
Cristy said.
As of writing, Tuviera has yet to give any statement about the rumors.
