During the March 4 episode of Eat Bulaga, Sotto, and Joey indirectly commented about the rumored power struggle between Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) former chairman Romeo Jalosjos Sr. and founding producer of Eat Bulaga Tony Tuviera.

The comments were made during the finals of Little Miss Diva, one of the segments of the noontime show.

“Congratulations sa production ng Eat Bulaga,” Sotto said. “Keep up the good work, walang dapat baguhin sa production ng Eat Bulaga.”

It was visible that some of the hosts tried to stop themselves from laughing after hearing the comment of Sotto.

Meanwhile, De Leon invited the people six years from now because he was sure that Eat Bulaga would last until its 50th anniversary in 2029.

“Ini-extend ko ang invitation sa inyong lahat, magkita kita ulit tayo after six years to celebrate Eat Bulaga’s 50 years on television. Imbitado kayo,” De Leon said.

“Tuloy tayo… 50 years of Eat Bulaga on television,” he added.

The said comments from the two main hosts of Eat Bulaga might be a hint that the rumored power struggle may end peacefully.

During the said episode, the TVJ trio also sang the theme song of Eat Bulaga and shared some trivia about the said piece.

“Nililinaw ko lang, ang nag-compose ng kantang ‘Eat Bulaga’, si Vic Sotto. Ang nag-imbento ng salitang ‘Eat Bulaga’, si Joey de Leon!” said Sotto.

It can be remembered that some reports revealed that some hosts of Eat Bulaga, including the TVJ trio, would leave the show if ever that Tuviera got removed from the production team.
