Clavio who watched Duterte’s first United Nations General Assembly speech said that the people should read the speech of the President and “cherish” it.
He even shared some of the highlights of Duterte’s speech which according to him were considered as important issues that should be discussed.
Duterte made his speech on September 23 (Manila Time) and one of the most memorable remarks of the President was the stance of the Philippines on the South China Sea dispute.
“The award is now part of international law, beyond compromise and beyond the reach of passing governments to dilute, diminish, or abandon,” said Duterte.
