Myanmar football coach describes their problem during their arrival in PH as “small issue”

The football coach of Myanmar Men’s football team Velizar Popov set aside the question by some media about the problem they’re encountered during their arrival in the Philippines.

In an interview, Popov said that the discomfort they experienced during their arrival is just a “small issue”.

“Obviously somebody didn’t do his job the best possible way, because everybody knows when we arrive, there is no bus, we waited almost an hour,” Popov said.

Popov refused to talk about their arrival experience anymore to the media.

“That’s a small issue for me. It is not a big deal and I don’t want to talk more about it because it is not the main thing in the tournament,” he said.

Meanwhile, House Speaker and PHISCOG Chairman Alan Peter Cayetano visited the affected teams including Myanmar and personally apologized for the inconvenience they experienced.

“Sa mga foreign teams, talagang we are apologizing for the inconveniences or if I may call it inefficiencies or miscoordination,” said Cayetano.

According to a Facebook post, Myanmar waited for several hours before a bus arrived at the airport.

The bus they used is also too small so the football team members were crumpled inside.

They planned to do some training in the country, but it’s now postponed because of the problems they experienced.
