“Nag areglo na!” Lawyer reveals that complainants already apologized to teacher Melita Limjuco

A lawyer who’s assisting teacher Melita Limjuco for free revealed that she’s already safe from charges as the Department of Education (DepEd) step in to end the issue.

In a post, Atty. Joseph Noel M. Estrada said that a DepEd supervisor helped Limjuco and the complainants Salve Banez, and Rosemil Edroso to meet face-to-face and fix the misunderstanding between the two parties.

Estrada said that the complainants already apologized to Limjuco, which the teacher accepted for the sake of her student.

According to him, the side of the complainant didn’t bring a lawyer, so he decided to stay outside the office and let the two camp talk privately.

I was assured by the Supervisor they’re handling it well and I trusted them,” he added.

While netizens are sending their gratitude Estrada for his help, the lawyer said that the people should thank the netizens who pushed the issue to become viral on social media.

According to him, he would do his best to protect the teaching license of Limjuco.

“We’ll make sure she keeps her job, her reputation intact, and her morale restored. And we will do this by observing due process and in the proper forum,” he said.

It’s not yet known if Limjuco will still accept the invitation of Raffy Tulfo in his program as she already got a lawyer and the issue was already settled in DepEd.

A few days ago, Limjuco was featured in Raffy Tulfo’s program after she received a complaint from Edroso.

Tulfo asked Limjuco if she wanted to choose to lose her teaching license or face charges in court, the teacher picked the first option.

The netizens didn’t like the action of Tulfo and started criticizing the journalist on social media.
