Xian Lim and Kim Chiu’s fans couldn’t hide their sadness after talent manager and showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz reported that the celebrity couple had already decided to part ways after 12 years.

In his online program, Ogie said that a trusted source confirmed that Xian and Kim already separated, not because of a third party but because of the lack of plans from the actor.

According to Ogie, Kim already noticed that Xian was not planning for the future of their relationship.

“A friend of mine and a friend of Xian and Kim Chiu told me na totoong hiwalay na [sina] Kim Chiu at Xian Lim. ‘Di lang maamin ni Kim Chiu kasi nga pinoproseso pa ni Kim Chiu, at si Xian Lim din,” said Ogie.

“Sabi sa akin ng friend ko wala naman daw third party. It’s just that parang walang plano si Xian sa kanilang 12 years na relationship. Parang hindi niya priority. Parang naghihintay lang si Kim Chiu ng proposal. 12 years na sila eh,” he added.

The two started dating in 2012 but only admitted their relationship to the public in 2018.

They’re only one year longer than the relationship of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, who also just recently broke up this year.

Talent manager Lolit Solis believed that Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. would survive even without the Eat Bulaga title due to the mass following of their current hosts.

Through her Instagram post, Lolit believed that one of her talents, Paolo Contis, would carry the show due to his mass following on social media.

She also believed that the issue over the real ownership of the Eat Bulaga title would end as soon as possible, saying that the audience are already enjoying the competition between the three noontime shows.

“A rose by any other name is still a rose. Siguro kahit ano pa title ang ilagay mo, basta nakita mo sila Tito, Vic and Joey, Eat Bulaga parin maiisip mo. Kaya kahit sino pa gumamit, silang 3 parin ang orig, kaya no problem kung sakaling baguhin nila Paolo Contis ang name ng noontime show nila,” said Lolit.

“Nakakatuwa nga na meron narin malakas na following iyon show nila Paolo kaya kahit bigyan mo na ito ng iba pang pangalan tiyak na may viewers narin sila. Sana nga huwag ng humaba pa ang issue dahil healthy naman para sa viewers na 3 na ang show na puwede nila mapanuod pag tanghali. Makikita mo na ngayon kung sino talaga ang magiging matatag sa labanan,” she added.

It can be recalled that despite the mass following enjoyed by Paolo Contis, Isko Moreno, and other Eat Bulaga hosts, they’re still struggling to surpass the viewership of their competitors, E.A.T and It’s Showtime.

It’s not yet known if the possible removal of Eat Bulaga title would affect TAPE’s noontime show.

Cristy Fermin criticized Paolo Contis’ vocal statement against the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) decision, which just recently removed Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. trademark rights over Eat Bulaga.

It can be recalled that Paolo used their noontime show to respond to the IPOPHL decision, saying that their legal battle was not yet over as they still had a chance to appeal.

“Magandang tanghali! Nakaputi ako ngayon, iba ang outfit-an ko ngayon pero simple lang ang gusto kong sabihin para sa ating mga Kapuso. Mga Kapuso, mahaba pa po ang laban. Ibig sabihin, legally, wala pang final. Okay?,” said Paolo.

“Pero ito lang po ang pangako namin, ano man ang mangyari, ang nasimulan po namin na tulong at saya ay itutuloy lang po namin araw-araw. Dahil ‘yun naman po ang dahilan kung bakit kami pumapasok araw-araw. Kayo po ang dahilan kaya nandito kami,” he added.

However, several days after Paolo’s statement, IPOPHL reportedly rejected the appeal, which prompted Cristy to remind the host to stop talking about the law.

“Ngayon tuloy Paolo, ikaw ang nagsimula. Ikaw ang nagbukas ng pintuan para ikaw ay i-bash. Ano ngayon ang sinasabi ng ating mga kababayan? Bago ka magsalita tungkol sa batas na wala kang alam, sustentuhan mo muna ‘yung mga anak mo!” she said.

Paolo was facing controversy after he admitted in a past interview that he didn’t send financial support to his three children from his two previous partners, Lian Paz, and LJ Reyes.

An interview of comedian Vice Ganda with Sarah Lahbati went viral on social media after the latter described her relationship with her mother-in-law, Annabelle Rama.

Mon Tulfo admitted that he was lured by his ex-lover, Maria Isabel Galindez, to a business that turned out to be a scam.

In his Facebook post, Mon publicly apologized to the clients of RTT Livelihood-1Naturaleza networking company and Ramon T. Tulfo Cargo for also being victimized.

Mon said that even if he was a seasoned broadcaster, he was still blinded by the persuasive tongue of his former lover.

“Pinagkatiwalaan ko si Maria Isabel Galindez, alyas Bel Galindez o Sabel Ysabel na pangalang ginagamit niya sa Messenger. Aaminin ko: Nagkaroon kami ng relasyon ni Bel at yan ang naging dahilan ng aking pagtitiwala sa kanya. Pinagtatawanan ako ngayon ng aking mga kaibigan at mga kamag-anak dahil sa hindi naman kagandahan itong si Bel. Nawalan na raw ako ng taste sa babae,” Tulfo said.
