Comedian Vice Ganda couldn’t stop himself from giving his indirect comment to the feud between the Duterte and Marcos family.

It can be recalled that the two powerful families exchanged criticisms amid the heated debate on the move of the current administration to change the constitution via the People’s Initiative.

On the January 29 episode of It’s Showtime, Vice and his co-host Karylle were interviewing a child during the ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids’ segment of the show about the contestant’s favorite subject in school.

The contestant shared that his favorite subject was math and currently studying division.

Vice then made a witty response to the contestant’s answer.

“Division… Division… Like the government, they also study that in the government. Division of the government,” he said.

“Yeah. Division. They used to study unity, now division,” he added.

The remarks made by Vice, who’s also a critic of the current administration received mixed reactions from the netizens.

Tuesday Vargas reacted to the Duterte-Marcos rift by mentioning the candidate she supported last presidential elections, former Vice President Leni Robredo.

In her post, Tuesday took a swipe against the supporters of the two powerful families, asking them why they’re having a feud.

“Ang nanay namin maganda na, mabait pa, mahusay pa!” said Tuesday. “Bakit ang tatay n’yo, mga ate, at kuya, nag-aaway? Tsk tsk tsk. Chill,”

“Huwag tayong magpalito. Ang away na ito ay hindi prioridad sa oras na ito. Madmaing kailangang asikasuhin para sa bansa. Ito pa talagang family feud nila ang unahin natin? Hayyy, Pilipinas,” she added.

Some netizens also expressed their support for Robredo.

“Siya na lang yung hindi tumigil na tumulong sa mga Pilipino kahit tapos na ang eleksiyon. Asan na yung ibang kung ano anong mabubulaklak na salita pinagbabanggit nung kampanya,” netizen Jake Crisostomo said.

However, others questioned why Robredo suddenly got involved in the issue.

“Saan banda po siya mahusay ate? Tsaka ilang buhay na po ang talagang umangat? Yung talagang tumaas ang antas ng pamumuhay. Update pls,” netizen Van remarked.

It can be recalled that former President Rodrigo Duterte and his family criticized President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos for allegedly pushing the constitutional change via the controversial People’s Initiative.

Meanwhile, Marcos also retaliated against his predecessor, hinting that the former chief executive was not sound anymore due to the medicine he was taking.

Actress Angelu de Leon posted cryptic messages on her Instagram post amid the criticism she received from Claudine Barretto.

It can be recalled that Claudine openly criticized Angelu during the 20th Wedding Anniversary celebration party of their friend Gladys Reyes, and Christopher Roxas, whom they both attended.

Claudine expressed her opposition to having Angelu included in their reunion project.

“Game ka ba doon, Clau? Game ka ba doon kung matutuloy ang reunion project natin with Juday and Angelu?” Gladys asked Claudine.

“No, no, no. Hindi. Ikaw lang, at ako, at si Juday. Walang Angelu.” Claudine responded.

In her posts, Angelu shared different inspirational quotes about forgiveness and doing good.

“Forgiveness is grace granted by the Holy Spirit. The spirit-filled know what it is to forgive faster than others can apologize,” the photo posted by Angelu reads.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up,” she added.

According to Claudine, she was disappointed in the alleged nosiness of Angelu.

“Kung wala kang magawa, tumahimik ka na lang, di ba? Ang career mo ang pag-usapan mo, huwag yung career ko. Yun lang ang ano ako. Kaya ayaw ko siyang makatrabaho,” she said.

Katrina Halili was mourning the passing of her partner former Wao, Lanao del Sur, Vice Mayor Jeremy Guiab.

The actress confirmed the news on her Instagram post dedicated to Jeremy.

“Ang daya mo love sabi mo aalagaan mo kami ni katie. Bakit iniwan mo kami,” she said.

Katie is Katrina’s daughter to her former partner, Kris Lawrence.

According to several reports, Jeremy faced a severe heart problem during his stay at Katrina’s house in Quezon City.

He was rushed to St. Luke’s Medical Center, but doctors failed to save him.

The cause of Jeremy’s passing was confirmed by his close friend, Quezon City Councilor Don de Leon.

“Together with his family, we ask for prayers, for his soul’s eternal rest with our Lord. A precious life gone too soon. Wake details to follow,” he stated.

In a past interview, Katrina said that Jeremy treated Katie like his own daughter.

“Yung boyfriend ko yung mas nagga-guide sa akin para alagaan yung anak ko. Siya yung mas nagtuturo sa akin kasi stubborn ako, di ba? Stubborn din ‘yung anak ko so medyo mahirap kaming dalawa. Minsan, nawawala ako ng pasensiya, siya yung mas kalmado. Tinutulungan niya ako talaga,” she said.

The Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation Secretary Larry Gadon admitted that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was an addict, but not like what former President Rodrigo Duterte was alleged.

In an interview, Gadon, who’s a close ally of Marcos, said that the chief executive was addicted to serving the people.

“Si Presidente Bong Bong Marcos ay isang adik… adik sa pagmamahal sa bayan, adik sa pagtrabaho, at adik sa pag-asikaso ng mga tungkulin ng pamahalaan, adik sa pagmamahal sa mga Pilipino,” he said.

In a serious note, the disbarred lawyer said that Duterte should stop involving the nation on his problems with Marcos.

Gadon also expressed his support to constitutional change.

“Panahon na ng tunay na pagbabago tungo sa pagunlad! Ang Cha Cha ay hindi layunin na palawigin ang termino ng presidente o ng sinoman na opisyales, ito ay panlilito at paninira lamang,” he stated.

Claudine Barretto was not afraid to express her dismay to Angelu de Leon in front of other people.

Claudine and Angelu were guests at the 20th Wedding Anniversary celebration of Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas held in Pasig City on January 27, 2024.

During the event, Gladys called Claudine who’s set to give a message to the celebrant.

When Gladys asked Claudine if she was willing to have a reunion movie with her, Judy Anne Santos, and Angelu, the latter didn’t hesitate to mention the former.

“Game ka ba doon, Clau? Game ka ba doon kung matutuloy ang reunion project natin with Juday and Angelu?” Gladys asked Claudine.

“No, no, no. Hindi. Ikaw lang, at ako, at si Juday. Walang Angelu.” Claudine responded.

Gladys was visibly caught off guard by Claudine’s answer and even prevented the latter to spew more words against Angelu.

In an interview with Pep.ph, Claudine said that she was not happy with Angelu’s attempt to interfere with her personal issues.

“Kung wala kang magawa, tumahimik ka na lang, di ba? Ang career mo ang pag-usapan mo, huwag yung career ko. Yun lang ang ano ako. Kaya ayaw ko siyang makatrabaho,” she said.

“Kasi, parang hindi siya nagbago. Nung bata pa lang kami hanggang ngayon, ganoon pa rin siya,” she added.

Senator Imee Marcos couldn’t hide her resentment against an individual who said that the senate has no business with the controversial People’s Initiative being pushed by the Congress.

On January 30, 2024, Marcos led the hearing launched by the Committee on Electoral Reforms and People’s Participation against People’s Initiative.

According to her, modern science would never cure the shamelessness of the said individual whom believed to be House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

It can be recalled that Romualdez also said that senators do not have a right to interfere with the People’s Initiative to change the constitution.

“Maaring masaya tayo ngayon dahil akala natin napagpahinga na natin ang usapin sa People’s Initiative nila pero hangga’t hindi ito naihihimlay, babangon muli ito upang maging multo,” she said.

“Ang sinumang magsabi na walang paki ang Senado sa usapang ito, isa lang ang masasabi ko, walang gamot sa kakapalan ng mukha mo,” she added.

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) suspended any activities related to the People’s Initiative following the criticism received by the campaign from former President Rodrigo Duterte and lawmakers.

Several netizens couldn’t stop themselves from reminding Arnold Clavio about his past relationship with Sarah Balabagan amid the criticism thrown by the broadcaster against former President Rodrigo Duterte.

It can be recalled that Clavio made criticisms against Duterte and even urged President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. to hold the former chief executive liable for defamation.

“Bilang presidente , karapatan mong ipagtanggol ang sarili mo sa maling akusasyon at panahon nang seryosohin sa Pilipinas ang kaso ng paninirang puri. Wala ng immunity from suit ang dating Pangulo at sa korte na niya patunayan ang totoo sa kanyang paratang,” Clavio said.

Some supporters of Duterte responded to Clavio by reminding him about Balabagan.

In 2020, Balabagan admitted that she had a child with Clavio, which a result of their secret relationship when she was still 17 years old.

“Inaamin ko po na ang ama ng aking panganay ay si Arnold Clavio, alam ko po na nagkasala ako sa kanyang may bahay,” said Balagbagan.

“Alam niyo po simula noong nagkaroon kami ng relasyon ni Arnold ang payo niya sakin lagi ay ‘walang aminan, kahit anong mangyari wag kang aamin, napaniwala niya ako,” she added.

Clavio never directly address the claims made by Balabagan, fueling the speculations that the former OFW was telling the truth.

Kapuso journalist Arnold Clavio urged President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to hold former President Rodrigo Duterte liable for defamation.

It can be recalled that on January 28, Duterte claimed that Marcos was included on the PDEA’s watchlist, which the agency quickly denied a day later.

“Bongbong, bangag ‘yan. That’s why sinasabi ko sa inyo. Si Bongbong Marcos bangag noon. Ngayong presidente na, bangag ang ating presidente. Kayong mga military alam ninyo ‘yan, lalo na ‘yong mga nasa Malacañang, alam ninyo,” he said.

In his Instagram post, Clavio said that Marcos should take Duterte’s accusations against him seriously.

“Sa araw-araw sa social media, kaliwa’t kanan ang defamation o paninirang puri na nararanasan. Bilang presidente, karapatan mong ipagtanggol ang sarili mo sa maling akusasyon at panahon nang seryosohin sa Pilipinas ang kaso ng paninirang puri,” Clavio said.

“Wala ng immunity from suit ang dating Pangulo at sa korte na niya patunayan ang totoo sa kanyang paratang,” he added.

As of writing, Marcos has yet to give any statement on his next move following Duterte’s serious claims against him.

In an interview, the chief executive only burst in laughter when asked about the matter and didn’t directly answered if the accusations were true or false.

Liza Marcos, hindi pinansin si VP Sara Duterte sa send-off ni PBBM

First Lady Liza Marcos was visibly not in the mood to interact with Vice President Sara Duterte, a day after former President Rodrigo Duterte and other members of the Duterte family criticized her husband, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

During the send-off ceremony for Marcos at the Villamor Airbase, the chief executive could be seen approaching Duterte and even exchanged friendly greetings.

However, the first lady could be seen ignoring the vice president and walking on the airport tarmac.

Mrs. Marcos returned for a short period to greet Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin but ignored Duterte, who was only beside the public official.

The netizens visibly noticed the said encounter and speculated that Mrs. Marcos was disappointed with the criticisms they received from the Dutertes.

Despite the incident, the Vice President was still chosen to become the caretaker of the government while Marcos was in Vietnam.

It can be recalled that former President Duterte criticized Mrs. Marcos and accused her of being behind the move to change the constitution via the People’s Initiative.
