Willie Revillame shows the construction of ‘world class’ Wowowin studio to critics: “Abangan niyo kung ano ang katotohanan,”

Television host Willie Revillame proved that the rumors being spread by some netizens that AllTV and his television show Wowowin were failing were not true.

In the Tuesday episode of Wowowin, February 8, 2023, Willie addressed the critics and said that he was aware by the rumors being spread about the television company.

However, the television host clarified that Wowowin is not going to temporarily end like what the critics were claiming. He even showed the construction of the ‘Wowowin Studio’ to prove that AllTV continues to invest to improve its content and signal.

“Maraming chismis, maraming usap-usapan, pinangungunahan nila ang katotohanan. [Pero] ito ang katotohanan: alam nyo ho ba na ang Wowowin studio ay nag meeting nanaman kanina. Minamadali na ho yan para magkaroon na tayo ng audience,” Willie said.

Willie called their new studio world-class and could accommodate 800 to 1,000 people, bigger than the previous studios of Willie.

“Maraming nagbabalita ng kung anu-ano, lumaki na ng lumaki eh sa totoo lang naman ho, wala namang sinasabi pa, walą pang sinasabi sa akin, eh pinangungunahan nyo, nag trending pa si Willie Revillame dahil kung anu-ano ang sinasabi nila,” he said.

It can be recalled that netizens started to criticize AllTV after they took the frequencies previously owned by ABS-CBN.

However, Willie denied the rumors and even said that people would know the truth about it someday.

He also vowed that AllTV is not going to abandon its employees.

“Dito po sa ‘Wowowin’ at ALLTV ay totoo lang ang sasabihin namin. Maraming mga haka-haka, abangan niyo kung ano ang katotohanan. Malalaman niyo naman ‘yan at ako pa ang unang magsasabi sa inyo.” Willie said.

“Inaayos ng ALLTV management ang signal, ang reach ng programang ito at lahat ng mga programa. Sa aking mga kasama dito, ‘wag kayong mag-alala. Hindi tayo pababayaan ng kompanyang ito.” he stated.

Influencer Lai Austria couldn’t stop fangirling after meeting Family Feud Philippines host Dingdong Dantes.

In her photo posted on February 7, Lai can be seen participating in an episode of the said gameshow, and she didn’t waste the opportunity to have a picture with Dingong.

However, netizens raised their eyebrows because of the caption written by Lai.

“Wait nyo ung sc*ndal namin,” Lai wrote in jest.

Dingdong’s wife, Marian Rivera, became trending on social media after Lai’s post, and the influencer received criticisms for her caption, saying that the actor was already a married man.

It can be recalled that there were rumors that Marian was known for being overprotective of her husband.

One popular story was the alleged ‘kulong banyo’ issue involving Marian and another actress who allegedly tried to flirt with Dingdong in the past.

Self-proclaimed businessman Francis Leo Marcos still continues his optical missions despite being detained

Despite being detained for almost three years already, Francis Leo Marcos still continued his optical mission for the poor with the help of his organization Filipino Family Club International Inc.

Some photos posted by the fan page of Marcos showed the mission they launched in Paranaque City where hundreds of people went to have their eyes checked and receive free glasses from the group.

Attendants also asked to wear the t-shirt imprinted with a logo of the group.

Hundreds of netizens praised Marcos for continuing his philanthropic deeds despite being detained for multiple charges.

It can be recalled that the Securities and Exchange Commission Philippines already warned the netizens about the Filipino Family Club International Inc. and Francis Leo Marcos.

“The Commission warns the public against FRANCIS LEO MARCOS and his now FILIPINO FAMILY CLUB INTERNATIONAL INC. and/or in dealing with any individuals or group of persons acting or soliciting donations for or on behalf of FRANCIS LEO MARCOS and/or his pretentious organization,” the Sec warns.

In 2020, Marcos became an instant internet celebrity because of his philanthropic activities and unique point of view on life.

He claimed that he was a rich businessman living in an exclusive subdivision and he can be seen asking his rich neighbors to help other people amid the crisis happening in the country during that time.

However, authorities discovered that his real name was ‘Norman Mangusin’ and he’s facing several warrants including for allegedly not following the optometry law due to organizing illegal optical missions.

They also found that Mangusin was involved in land grabbing and also trafficking.

This Tuesday, Alex Gonzaga became trending again on social media after she posted a photo of the cake she sent to her father, Carlito Gonzaga, or ‘Daddy Bonoy.’

In her IG post on February 5, Alex posted a birthday message for her father and even sent a cake made of bread as a joke about her past issue.

“Happy birthday daddy! Love you always! Pasensya ka na tinapay nalang muna mapapadala ko sayo pambirthday. Magiiwas iwas na rin kayo sa mahirap na,” she said.

Last month, Alex received tremendous criticism on social media after she was spotted smudging her birthday cake to a server.

The netizens criticized Alex for disrespecting the waiter who was only working during that time.

Alex then apologized to the waiter and the netizens, and after several days, she started joking about the incident.

However, the cake issue also became a reason for some netizens to dig the past of Alex including her alleged attitude to her co-workers.

A restaurant in Baguio City received positive comments on social media after a customer posted the food they served to them that according to the menu was good for three people.

In a Facebook post, Ferb Constantino shared a photo of the food they ordered at Good Taste Restaurant in Baguio City.

It shows some chicken, pork, and vegetable dishes that can be shared by three people according to the restaurant.

According to Constantino, they didn’t expect that the serving in the said restaurant was too much for three people.

“Good for 3 daw. 3 days pala ‘yon pare,” Constantino said.

Some netizens also made their comments on the said post, saying that most of restaurants in Baguio were known for giving good portions.

“Ganyan po tlg mag serve ng food ang IGOROTS. Kahit sa turoturo unlirice. Kahit sa bahay, kaldero ang iseserve hindi isang tasa lang ng kanin… bawal magutom,” netizen Ellyay said.

“Kahit san ka kumain sa baguio ang lalaki ng serving huhu jan ako nanaba nung honeymoon namin . Samantalang dito sa manila. Serving for 1 ay hindi manlang aabot sa bituka mo,” netizen Elli commented.

Television host Kim Atienza was known for actively interacting with his fans on social media.

His activeness on social media even caused him to face some issues including the criticisms he was receiving after liking a tweet with messages against his former co-host Vice Ganda.

In one of his workout videos where he lifted a 122.47kg barbell, some netizens praised the host for having a fit body, but some also made hilarious comments asking if he was interested to sign with Vivamax and be a leading man for Aj Raval and Angeli Khang.

Kuya Kim quickly responded to the netizens telling them that he was not interested to become part of Vivamax.

It can be remembered that Kuya Kim started to live healthy and fit again after suffering from Guillain-Barré Syndrome which costs him P300,000-500,000 per day because of its expensive medication.

A radio host and supporter of former President Rodrigo Duterte expressed dismay over the claims of some Marcos Loyalists called the charity project they were promoting a cash grab.

In a Facebook post, Mark Lopez posted several screencaps of the discussion in a pro-Marcos group questioning the legitimacy of the ‘Rody The Bear Project’, a project to raise funds for Duterte’s favorite charity for House of Hope.

House of Hope is a charity group that takes care of children with cancer.

Aside from Lopez, influencers including Krizette Laureta Chu who’s also behind the fundraising for Duterte’s birthday gift also participated to promote the project.

According to the screencaps, a certain ‘Grace Cotoco’ shared the post of Lopez asking the netizens to avail the said teddy bears, saying that its proceeds will go to the House of Hope.

However, Cotoco and other members of the said group became suspicious of the project.

“Wala na pera yung tatay nila?! Hahaha” a netizen said.

Even Cotoco said that the influencers supporting the former president were doing everything to improve the reputation of Duterte.

“Nagmamakaawa na nga sila pampango kasi kay Digs yang gagawin nilang donation sa foundation na yan pero daming alingasngas about duterte’s admin lately ha?” Cotoco said.

In a lengthy post, Lopez called the claims of Cotoco ‘disgusting’ and full of lies.

“Ang papel lang po namin nina Krizette dito ay tulungan lang po ang HOH sa pag benta nito at hindi rin po kami ang nag ta transaction kundi derecho po sa HOH. Wala po dumadaan sa amin at bagkus, kami rin po mismo ay bumili galing sa aming sariling bulsa para po makadagdag kahit po paano.” Lopez said.

“Uliting ko, wala po kaming direct involvement sa anumang transaction sa House of Hope except sa mismong pag donate po, at kami po ay tumutulong lang na ipalaganap ang mga information , events at projects po nila. Kaya nakakawindang ang mga katulad nitong si Grace at yung Ibang mga nag comment dito sa page na ito na nilagyan pa ng malisya ang isang endeavor na para sa mga batang may sakit.” he added.

It can be remembered that there’s a rumored rift between the political influencers because of their different opinions on the current administration.

As of writing, Cotoco and her post has been removed already from the group.

It seems that controversial columnist Mon Tulfo was on his own now after one of his brothers, Ben Tulfo announced that he and his other siblings already associated themselves with the former.

Mon received criticism on social media because of his fierce statements against President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his family.

His criticisms also caused him to reportedly be fired from the Philippine Star as a columnist after his article about First Lady Liza Marcos.

Even his brothers were already criticized by netizens who supported the current administration, including Ben.

However, Ben told the netizens that the ‘T3 Brothers’ which includes him, former Social Welfare Secretary Erwin, and Senator Raffy were already distanced themselves from Mon.

“Pls do not associate us T3 with Ramon. We distance ourselves T3 from him and his activities or his style of journalism. I love my profession as a Journalist and the ethics of the profession. It’s a vocation. Don’t know about him. We T3 stand together as bond of brothers for the weak and those who can’t defend themselves. Period.” he said.

It’s not yet known if there’s a feud between Mon and his other siblings because of his contradicting belief about the administration.

In 2012, the T3 brothers used their now-defunct program on TV5 to defend their brother Mon after an encounter between Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto.

Because of their statements, MTRCB ordered the suspension of T3 for three months.

Wency Cornejo discloses that her mother Mel Tiangco receive offers to join politics: “She doesn’t want to get stressed out”

Wency Cornejo revealed that his mother Mel Tiangco has been tried to convince by some individuals several times to enter politics.

The 55-year-old OPM artist, best known for being the vocalist of AfterImage said that his 67-year-old mother refused the offers because the well-known journalist believed that politics is going to give her stress.

“It’s very, very magulo, e, she says. Especially at her age, she doesn’t want to get stressed out. And kahit kami as her children, ayaw din namin ma-stress nanay namin. At her age, she needs to be resting and just enjoying the fruits of her labor.” Cornejo explained.

Despite having politician relatives like Navotas Mayor John Tiangco and Rep. Toby Tiangco, Cornejo also refused to join politics.

According to Cornejo, he’s not the type of person who knows how to handle things diplomatically.

“No, definitely not me. I have no patience—pangit man pakinggan ‘to—I don’t like dealing with people.” he said.

It can be recalled that Cornejo openly supported the BBM-Sara tandem in last election and he even criticized his friends for forcing him to support other candidates.

“Why can’t people just accept that the reality of a person depends on where his life experience is at the moment? A 6 may look like a 9 depending on what angle you’re looking at it from. Vote and campaign for who you want but please mga kaibigan, be human beings and not rabid, wild animals while you’re at it. This goes for everybody. Lahat tayo are guilty of being this way.” the OPM icon said.
