Netizens couldn’t hide their emotions after they watched a documentary by NHK Japan about Carlos Yulo and his former coach, Munehiro Kugimiya.

Carlos, who met Kugimiya when he was still 13 years old could be seen in the documentary trying to learn the Japanese culture and language while shaping his gymnastics skills at the same time.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist was also revealed to have lived with Kugimiya during his training in Japan.

The Japanese coach also became not just a coach but also a second father to Carlos as he guided the Filipino gymnast during his Nihongo studies and even cooked food for his students.

“I’m just putting things in that are healthy; he injured himself a lot in training in the past, so I started thinking about what could help,” said Kugimiya.

“I thought that food could be the most important thing for his health,” he added.

To help Carlos become more proficient in Nihongo, the Japanese coach asked his student to write all his thoughts in a diary using Japanese.

At first, Kugimiya noticed how difficult it was for Carlos to express his thoughts on Nihongo, but eventually, he slowly improved, which helped the coach to know what was inside his student’s mind.

The documentary also gave a glimpse of how the coach was handling Carlos and giving him tips before the competition.

“What I want to tell you is, first achieving your goal should be your first priority,” said Kugimiya. “Second, do not train recklessly,”

“And don’t put too much pressure on yourself, but just try to do your best.

Kylie Padilla posted cryptic messages on social media amid the issue being faced by her father, Senator Robin Padilla.

In her post, Kylie shared an image with a text, that reads: “Weak men create masculine women,”

In her second post, the actress posted another quote: “No is a full sentence.”

It can be recalled that Padilla was lectured by Attorney Lorna Kapunan about ‘consent’ between husband and wife.

“Halimbawa po, syempre hindi mo maaalis sa mag-asawa na ang paniwala — lalo kami o ako — meron kang sexual rights sa asawa mo eh. So halimbawa, hindi mo naman pinipili eh kung kailan ka in heat. So paano ‘yun kapag ayaw ng asawa mo? Wala pong ibang paraan talaga para maano ‘yung lalaki? So paano yun? Mambababae ka na lang ba? Eh di kasong kaso na naman ‘yun,” Robin said.

“Halimbawa mapilit yung lalaki. Ano yung sa legal na puwede niyang gawin? Puwede bang will you help me na lang? Kapag Tagalog kasi hindi mo masabi baka bastos ang dating. Anong puwedeng gawin na lang ng babae?” he added.

Kapunan responded that a partner still forced by his or her husband to do the deed would be considered illegal.

However, Padilla still tried to insist on his question.

“Siguro naman sasangayon naman sa akin ang mga taumbayan kapag sinabi kong may ibang urge talaga ang mga lalaki talaga. Talagang nandun eh. So paano ‘yun nandyan ang asawa mo to serve you, ayaw niya? So paanong, anong puwede kong sabihin sa kanya? Mahal o babe, ano ba? Please help me in a way,” he stated.

Kapunan then said that it would be better for them to pray, undergo counseling, or just watch Koreanovelas if a partner couldn’t control their urges.

“Kailangan po ng counseling o magdasal na lang po kayo. Manood po kayo [sa] Netflix [o] Korean Telenovela.” she said.

The lawmaker received more criticism after his wife, Mariel Padilla, took a swipe against the critics of her husband, about the fact that she was giving all the consent to him.

However, the singer came to realize that his daughter was no longer a child and that she could now make her own decisions.

“Hanggang sa sinabi ko, ‘Alam n’yo, masama ang loob ko sa inyo na nagawa n’yo yan. Pero gayunpaman, kayo ay nag-a-adulting na, gawin n’yo ‘yan, bahala na kayo sa buhay n’yo,’” he said.

Ogie said that parents could only guide their children and must always be ready to welcome them if they ever make a mistake.

“Karl Eldrew is capable because he’s daring,” she said.

In a past interview, Cynthia also said that Eldrew achieved more than his brother if they’re going to base it on age.

“Eldrew is a very good future, because Eldrew at that age he is now, Eldrew is better than Caloy,” said Cynthia.

“And you give Eldrew a good coach, he’s going to perform, he’s going to be an Olympic Champion,” she added.

Carrion also aimed for Eldrew and Carlos to become part of the national gymnastics team in the next Olympics.

It can be recalled that at the age of 16, Eldrew already won a gold medal at the Asian Gymnastics Championships and won six gold medals last 2023 at the Palarong Pambansa.

An interview with Chloe San Jose, taken last year, has been circulated on social media.

In the said interview, content creator Tiyo Bri interviewed Chloe during her vacation in La Union and asked several ‘rated spg’ questions.

One of the questions was about her preference, asking her if she would prefer a broke man with a big tool or a rich man with a small tool.

“Ano ang mas gusto mo, broke guy na daks o mayaman na juts?” Tiyo Bri asked.

“Mayaman nalang na Juts,” Chloe responded.

After the interview went viral, Tiyo Bri clarified that they only made the said content for fun and even revealed that Carlos was present during that time.

In his statement, Tiyo Bri asked the netizens to stop judging Chloe based on the interview and even praised the couple for being kind.

“Si Carlos Yulo napaka-sport. Isipin mo may mga boyfriend bang ipapa-interview ‘yung girlfriend niya kay Tiyo Bry na hindi ma-i-insecure? Si Carlos hindi, napaka-sport, napaka-open, tawa ng tawa,” said Bri.

He also insisted that Chloe’s answer was right, as no woman would choose a broke guy.

“Walang babae na pipili ng broke na lalaki. Kaya kayong mga lalaki dapat magsikap kayo, at the same time din wag niyo ng gawan ng isyu itong si Chloe dahil napakabait niyang batang ‘yan,” he stated.

Content creator, nakiusap na bawiin na ni Mon Confiado ang isinampang kaso laban sa kanya

The content creator who published a ‘copypaste’ featuring Mon Confiado was now pleading to the actor to withdraw the charges against him.

It can be recalled that content creator Jeff Jacinto, a.k.a Ileiad, was facing charges after Mon successfully traced him.

“Nawa’y maging aral sa iyo ito at sa ating lahat. Na ang paggamit ng pangalan at larawan ng walang pahintulot ay krimen. Na hindi lahat ng jokes ay nakakatawa at hindi lahat ng jokes ay para sa lahat. Dapat sana ang joke ay nakakapagpasaya at hindi nakakasira ng tao,” said Mon.

In an interview with Rappler, Jacinto insisted that the said copypasta was only a joke.

Jacinto also said that he only wanted to “apply 4chan humor to Filipino pop culture,”

The usual subject of the said copypasta were actors with good reputations, and it intended to “prank” the netizens that the said celebrity was rude all along.

Jacinto admitted that he was regretful that he underestimated Mon’s warning.

“I wish I could have just taken it down the moment I saw him in the comments,” said Jacinto.

As of writing, there were no signs for Mon to withdraw the charges he filed against Jacinto.

However, some netizens noticed that the said brand was being endorsed by Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.

Pia became Bvlgari’s first ‘Filipina Friend of the House’ of the brand.

Even Director Darryl Yap couldn’t stop talking about the coincidence.

Some netizens believed that Heart’s decision to let his pet dog wear a Bvlgari necklace was not a coincidence.

It can be recalled that there was a rumored beef between Pia and Heart after the beauty queen hired Heart’s former glam team.

There were reports that Heart’s former glam team gave their former boss’ connections and contacts in the fashion industry to Pia, which explained why the beauty queen suddenly became an active member of the elite fashion circle.

However, some of Pia’s fans didn’t believe the rumors as her background as the Miss Universe 2015 would give her instant access to fashion houses.
