Horse running along North Luzon Expressway successfully rescued by netizens

An unusual incident along North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) has been captured by a netizen and quickly went viral on social media.

In a video, Serry Grecia shared a lost horse running on NLEX southbound between San Fernando and San Simon Pampanga on May 19.

Netizens expressed concern as the horse was visibly confused with the noise and fast-running vehicles.

“Imagine how stress the horse is. And kung gaano ka unsafe na nasa malayo at nasa labas siya not knowing kung saan siya pupunta. Be mindful din for lost animals. I hope your family’s doing their best to see you baby.” netizen Janyn said.

“Imagine the anxiety level nung kabayo na napapaligiran ng mabibilis na sasakyan and the unfamiliar sound of car engines na humaharurot.” netizen Rose commented.

Fortunately, a horse rider made a successful attempt to rescue the horse.

According to Kenneth Kurt Villarica, they rescued the horse between Sta. Monica and San Simon.

They also quickly checked the condition of the horse and they noticed that the animal was tired from non-stop running.

“Narecover po namin sa sta monica san simon po pawis na pawis sobra sakit napo ng paa,” Villarica said.

The horse reportedly recovered already and its owner is still not yet identified.

Diamond Star Maricel Soriano said that she doesn’t really care about some new artists now who do not show any respect to veteran actors and actresses.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Maricel said that her era was different where new actors and actresses were required to greet their colleagues who started their careers before them.

That’s why she understood some artists that complained about the attitude of the new artists of this generation.

It can be recalled that megastar Sharon Cuneta shared a story where an actor didn’t even greet her when they cross paths.

Maricel said that she’s just ignoring those artists saying that they’re not worth paying attention to.

“Sinabi ko sa sarili ko, ayokong ma-stress sa ganyan. Number one, hindi ko naman kayo kilala. Bakit ko naman i-stress-in ang sarili ko? Now, if you come to me and you tell me who you are, ganyan-ganyan, and then I will entertain you. But then, in the meantime, if you are not coming to me and say, ‘Hello,’ e di, wala ka rin mapapala sa aking, ‘Hi.’” she said.

She also gave a piece of advice to the new actors and actresses.

“Dapat alam niyo yung pinasok niyong industriya. Dapat malaman niyo kung sino itong mga tao behind bago pa lang kayo pumasok dito. Saka hindi ito laro. Ito ay trabaho,” she said.

Posible diumanong hiwalay na ang ‘Kakampink’ power couple na sina Edu Manzano at Cherry Pie Picache.

Sa programa ni Cristy Fermin, kasama si Rommel Chika at Wendell Alvarez, tinalakay nila kung mayroon nga bang katotohanan na hiwalay na ang dalawang artista na matatandaang sumikat sa social media dahil sa pagsuporta nila sa isang natalong kandidato.

Sinabi ng mga host na tila napakabilis ng mga pangyayari sa naging relasyon ni Edu at Cherrypie kaya hindi maiwasan na kwestiyonin ng mga netizens kung may katotohanan nga ba ang kanilang pag-iibigan.

Ayon kay Wendell ay hiwalay na diumano ang dalawa at ayaw na diumano ni Edu na magkaroon pa ng asawa.

Sinabi rin ni Wendell na hindi talaga siya naniniwala na nagkaroon ng relasyon si Edu at Cherry Pie dahil sa kanilang mga galaw.

Naniniwala si Wendell na maaring nagpanggap lamang ang dalawa na sila ay may relasyon upang pakiligin ang mga ‘Kakampink’.

“Ako unang tingin ko palang gimik lang ito, hindi totoo to,” ani Wendell.

Sa ngayon ay wala pang tugon si Edu at Cherry Pie sa mga balita tungkol sa posible nilang hiwalayan.

Noong nakaraang Marso ay naglabas na rin ng pahayag si Edu na ang dahilan ng hindi nila masyadong pagsasama ni Cherry Pie ay dahil sa abala sila parehas sa kanilang mga proyekto.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin didn’t believe the stories circulating on social media about Mommy Divine Geronimo’s attendance during the 20th-anniversary concert of her daughter Sarah Geronimo.

In her online show together with Rommel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, Cristy said that Divine chose to manage her business instead of watching one of the most important concerts of her daughter.

Rommel shared that there’s some news circulating that Divine attended the concert but kept her low profile to avoid being seen by fans.

“Meron daw kasosyo si Mommy Divine sa kanyang negosyo na may meeting sila noong araw na ‘yun na pinos-postponed daw ni Mommy Divine kasi manonood daw siya ng concert ni Sarah. Hindi siya pumunta sa taas, doon siya sa bandang taas,” Rommel said.

However, Cristy questioned the veracity of the news, saying that Divine would buy the cheapest ticket to a concert.

It’s also impossible that none of the thousands of attendees of the concert would spot Divine.

“Knowing her, ang taas taas ng pride. ‘di niya gagawin yun yung pupunta siya sa pinakamurang tiket. Saka puputok yun kung totoo yun. May makakakilala sa kanya. Kilala siya e.” the columnist responded.

Cristy also received information that may confirm that Divine refused to attend the concert by her daughter.

“Si Mommy Divine daw marami ang nakakita na nagkakahera daw sa kanilang tindahan. Siya ang nakaupong cashier. So ibig sabihin, pagka-ganoon walang plano talaga. Walang kaplano-plano na panoorin ‘yung anak.” she stated.

It can be recalled that Cristy already criticized Divine previously because of her treatment of her daughter.

Divine and Sarah reportedly never meet again after the latter married her partner Matteo Guidicelli.

Naging usap-usapan sa social media ang istorya ng isang binata mula sa Visayas matapos itong makakuha diumano ng 30 scholarship mula sa iba’t ibang unibersidad sa ibang bansa, kasama na dito ang United Kingdom at Amerika.

Ibinahagi ni Julian Martir sa kanyang social media account ang mga natanggap niyang liham mula sa mga nasabing unibersidad kung saan ay kung titignan ay umabot sa P104-M ang halaga ng scholarship na kanyang natanggap.

Ayon kay Julian ay anak siya ng isang tricycle driver at tindera kaya naman lubos lubos ang pagkagalak nito dahil sa naabot niya.

Ngunit maraming netizen ang kinuwestiyon kung totoo nga ba ang istorya ni Julian dahil sa iba’t ibang dahilan, kasama na dito ang hindi pagpayag ng mga magulang ng binata na magpa-interview at ang kwestiyonableng mga sulat na kanyang natanggap mula sa mga unibersidad.

Isa ang Facebook page na Dalawang Sentimo sa Kalye sa tinalakay ang istorya ni Julian at marami siyang napansin na kuwestiyonable sa istorya ng binata.

Ayon sa nasabing Facebook page ay hindi pa nag-uumpisa ang pagtanggap ng mga unibersidad sa UK at US ng mga application para sa scholarship.

Napansin din niya na hindi makumpirma ng eskwelahan kung saan nagtapos si Julian kung may katotohanan ba ang natanggap niyang scholarship at hindi rin sila nasabihan ng mga nasabing unibersidad sa abroad tungkol dito.

Mali mali rin diumano ang grammar ng liham na natanggap ni Julian kaya naman kuwestiyonable ito lalo na kung talagang galing ang sulat mula sa mga prestihiyosong unibersidad sa ibang bansa.

Pinuna naman ng nasabing Facebook page ang media dahil sa hindi man lang nila tinignan kung totoo nga ba ang istorya ng binata.

“This is a common phenomenon in Filipino media is always desperate for international recognition, that’s why Filipinos often don’t doubt when they hear a Filipino did this or did that because it gives a sense of ethnic validation.” sabi ng Facebook page.

Sa isang programa sa radyo ay sinabi rin ng assistant principal ng eskwelahan kung saan nagtapos si Julian na wala pa silang natatanggap na kahit anong liham mula sa 30 unibersidad na diumano’y nagbigay ng scholarship sa kanilang dating estudyante.

Sa ngayon ay wala pang tugon si Julian sa mga netizen na kumukwestiyon sa kanyang post.

A netizen from Cavite couldn’t stop laughing at herself after realizing that the giveaway she ate from a wedding she attended was not meant to be eaten.

In a Facebook post, Kristine Gruezo who became a bridesmaid at a wedding she attended shared the bitemark of the cake-designed soap she received after trying to taste it.

According to her, she was not informed that the giveaway she received from the wedding was not food.

She was also misled by the smell of the soap.

The story shared by Gruezo received thousands of shares and reactions from the netizens.

Some of them even questioned if the bridesmaid was not really aware that the giveaway was not meant to be eaten.

“Chusera. Forda content. Matigas Ang sabon compare sa cake. Chusera ka.” netizen Ogie said.

A netizen also expressed concern about the lack of details in the packaging.

In a Facebook post, Degee Gonzales showed a photo of ‘Dalangpangan ni San Alejo’ that would become a temporary shelter for beggars where they could also take a bath and eat.

“The first of its kind in Davao City. A transient home for the beggars where they can eat, take a bath, and wash their clothes. This is a new ministry of the Alexian Brothers in the Philippine,” he said.

According to a photo posted by Gonzales, the Dalangpanan Ni San Alejo, or a Cebuano word for ‘refuge’ was built by the Alexian Brothers Communities and Ministries.

“This ministry is an expression of the Alexian Brothers’ “The Love of Christ Compels Us.”. It also embodies our long history of caring and serving others feeding the poor and meeting their needs,” the dedication reads.

“The Filipino Brothers continued this expression and living out of the Alexian Charism and legacy of concern. On this site we acknowledge that we are channels of God’s love,” it added.

The post already reached thousands of shares as of writing and received praised from the netizens.

Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa expressed happiness after his son, Police Lieutenant Rock dela Rosa finished his Scout Ranger training.

Bato, together with former president Rodrigo Duterte during the graduation rites for the Scout Ranger Course Class 219-2022. where Rock belonged.

The senator also dedicated a social media post to his son, expressing how proud he was of the achievement made by Rock.

“Not all young men become law enforcers and not all law enforcers become Rangers that is why, as your father, no amount of words can truly express how happy and proud I am today as I watch you finally graduate from the prestigious Scout Ranger Course. Hats off to you Ranger Rock de La Rosa!” the senator said.

In another post, the sister of Rock also wrote a message to her brother.

“You could have just stayed at home and enjoyed the privileges that came with your life but you still chose to endure the hardest way possible to be able to give the best to the service.
