Former actress Lindsay Custodio narrated how she felt regret the moment she married her non-showbiz partner, Frederick Cale.

In an interview with Pep.ph, Lindsay shared how her wedding on May 13, 2022, which was supposed to be a memorable day, became one of the worst moments of her life.

Lindsay hinted that she had problems with Frederick’s financial decisions.

According to her, before their wedding reception, her husband forced her to pass by a bank first to use the cash gifts they received to pay for his loans, which he borrowed to finance their matrimony.

“Nag-open kami ng joint bank account prior to our church wedding. Nag-insist siyang pumunta kami sa bangko after the church wedding ceremony. Ang mga tseke sa bangko na-clear na at cash gifts ang pinambayad sa credit card niya,” she said.

Lindsay didn’t expect that Frederick would use the cash gifts they received to finance their wedding.

“I was against it talaga. I was expecting na nag-offer siya ng kasal so he should be prepared for it. Iaasa lang pala niya dun sa mga cash gift sa kasal,” she stated.

The former actress also said that her husband also forced her to use her personal account to contribute to the wedding.

“Sinabi ko sa kanya, puwede ba yung pera sa personal account ko, akin na lang, so I can use it for my personal expenses, like, emergency fund? Sabi niya, ‘Ay, hindi. I-withdraw mo yan. Dapat diyan ibayad mo sa credit card,” she narrated.

“Ang lakas ng boses niya. Siyempre, nagtitinginan yung mga tao. Ang takot ko noon, baka may mag-video sa amin, tapos i-post. So, I just agreed to what he wanted. Ibinayad sa credit card niya from the fund na idineposit namin sa joint account, pati yung sa personal account ko, ibinayad din,” she added.

It was already too late for Lindsay to realize the real personality of her husband.

“Hiyang-hiya ako sa sarili ko, pero dumiretso pa rin kami sa reception. Dun naman po sa reception, after the program was done, kinuha niya rin ang cash gifts na ibinigay sa amin at yun ang ipinambayad niya sa [additional] expenses,” she said.

“Nagsisisi na ako noon, ‘Bakit ganito yung napangasawa ko?’ Ang sa akin, nung panahon na yon, nahihiya ako dahil kasal na kami. Iniisip ko kung ano ang sasabihin ng mga tao. Parang biyuda ako, nagpakasal ako uli, tapos maghihiwalay lang kami. I really wanted to save the marriage,” she stated.

Several days ago, Lindsay filed charges against her husband – a possible move to end their marriage legally.

Awra Briguela wrote an open letter to the public to officially apologize for the first time due to the commotion she got involved in last year.

In her Instagram post, Awra expressed her regret over the mistakes she committed in the past, which resulted in her being put behind bars.

“Gusto ko simulan sa pag hingi ng tawad sa pamilya ko lalong lalo na sa magulang ko. Patawad kung mas pinili kong takbuhan at talikuran ang problema. Patawad kung wala akong tapang harapin ang mga issues naten isa’t isa. Patawad kung mas pinili kong tumakbo at mag pakasaya nang panadalian imbis na ayusin natin ang problema,” she wrote.

“Alam kong hindi naging madali sa inyo na makita at mapanuod ako sa sitwasyong hindi maganda. Patawad kung na dismaya ko kayo sa maraming bagay. Patawad kung nagbago ako at nag iba ang ugali ko,” she added.

Awra vowed to change herself for the better and asked for a chance to redeem herself.

Additionally, Awra also addressed the people who were involved on the issue, including the men she allegedly forced to do something for her during the incident.

“To the ones who were involved, I would also like to humbly ask for your forgiveness. The mistakes and all the damages that were done was mine and I am willing to take accountability and responsibility I will take all of these as a lesson that I will carry for the rest of my life,” she stated.

She added: “I know we’re in good terms already and settled things privately but still I want to say sorry and thank you for allowing and giving me the chance to apologize and for accepting it,” 

Veteran actor Rommel Padilla was still hoping that his son, Daniel Padilla, would still be given a chance to reconcile with his ex-girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo.

In an interview, Rommel admitted that the whole Padilla clan was saddened by what happened to Daniel and Kathryn, and they’re still hoping that someday, the two would ignite their love for each other again.

“Sana dumating ‘yung pagkakataon na magkita silang muli, magkaunawaan. Napakalaking panahon na nagkasama sila. Sana manumbalik pa ang kanilang pagmamahalan,” he said.

“Lahat kami[ng Padilla], hindi lang ako [ang nalulungkot]” he added.

He also gave advice to Daniel and Kathryn to give themselves time to reflect.

“Magmuni-muni muna sila at timbangin nila ‘yung kanilang naging pagmamahalan…dapat pa ba silang magbalikan? Ito ‘yung time na ‘yun na makikita nila kung puwede pang maging sila sa mga darating na araw,” he said.

Rommel was the former partner of Karla Estrada and wed under Muslim rites.

Karla gave birth to Daniel during the time when Rommel was behind bars due to multiple charges.

Currently, Rommel is married again to his second wife, Anabelle Antonio.

When asked why he was married twice, Rommel insisted that he was a Muslim. Therefore, he was allowed to have multiple wives.

Television host Coleen Garcia-Crawford published an open letter to the netizens amid concerns about her husband, Billy Crawford’s health.

It can be recalled that a video of Billy circulated on social media, and some netizens couldn’t help but express concern about the actor’s alleged sudden weight loss.

In her Facebook post, Coleen posted a photo of herself in her normal home appearance, which is believed to be a response to the people speculating on Billy’s health.

She said that people should stop speculating about someone’s state based on their appearance.

Internet celebrity Toni Fowler hinted at her breakup with her partner, content creator Vince Flores.

In her social media post, Toni said that she was back again as a single mom just months after she announced her pregnancy.

“Kinaya ko nung una. Na-practice ko na. So kayang kaya ko sa pangalawa. Back to #Singlemom,” she said.

Toni also made another Facebook post about blocking someone from her life.

Vice Ganda believed that he was being criticized by netizens until today due to his joke about veteran newscaster Jessica Soho.

While interviewing Awra Briguela, Vice said that most critics have only mentioned one thing they didn’t like against him despite it already happening a long time ago.

He was referring to his joke against Soho during his “I-Vice Ganda Mo Ako sa Araneta” concert, where he used the veteran journalist as a subject for his line.

“Paulit-ulit ang definition ng mga taong ayaw sa akin which is enough for them to not like me. Isa lang ang definition ko [for them]: I made a joke about Jessica Soho,” said Vice. “‘Yun lang ang depinisyon ko sa mga taong ayaw sa akin, at habang buhay na nilang bibitbitin iyon para maging rason para magalit sila sa akin habambuhay.”

Vice mentioned his story to Awra to remind her that the commotion she caused last year at a club in Makati would be thrown against her as long as people would remember it.

“Kailangan mo siyang harapin kasi kung bina-band aid mo siya, hindi siya [maghe-heal]. Kailangan mo siyang gamutin. Kailangan mong gamutin ang sugat,” said Vice. “Hindi lahat ng tao, papaboran at magugustuhan ka. Kaya kailangan mong mag-adjust.”

“Kung ano mang gawin ko, they will not like me, they will hate me, and they only need one bad definition of me. And that is, Vice Ganda siya ‘yung nag-joke kay Jessica Soho at babalikan nila ‘yun para hindi sila mawala sa paniniwala na ayaw nila ako.” he added.

Actress Maricel Soriano appeared before the Senate after being involved in the PDEA document leaks.

It can be recalled that a PDEA agent confirmed the legitimacy of the pre-operation report against Soriano and President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

During her speech, Soriano said she was surprised to receive an invitation from the Senate because she was clueless about the issue.

“Hindi po ako sanay sa mga ganito [hearing]… Alam niyo first time ko lang talaga na makatanggap ng imbitasyon na pumunta sa senado… Nakakakaba, nakakatakot,” she said. “Sa totoo lang po hindi malinaw sakin kung bakit ako naimbitahan sa hearing,”

Despite her doubts, Soriano still attended the senate hearing as she respected the role of the body.

During the hearing, Soriano confirmed that her former address was indicated on the document.

“That adds credence to the claim of Morales, na siya talaga ang gumawa noon at tama ang ginawa niya dahil inamin naman ni Maricel. Si Maricel ang subject doon at si politician Bongbong Marcos. Dalawa sila subject doon. Tapos ang address, ‘yung unit is the same unit, at inaamin ni Maricel na sa kanya ang unit na ‘yun. That gives credence to the pre-ops na ginawa ni Morales,” said Sen. However, she said she sold the said condominium unit in 2012.

Meanwhile, President Marcos only laughed at the said accusations.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin couldn’t help but question Angeline Quintos’ husband, Nonrev Daquino’s capability of supporting all his children.

In her program “Cristy Ferminute,” Cristy said that some netizens were also asking the same questions, saying that Nonrev had three children from different partners.

“Si Nonrev Daquina binabash-bash ngayon. Dahil ‘di ba nagpakasal na nga sila ni Angeline Quinto. Ano raw mangyayari kay Angeline e lima na ang anak ngayon nitong si Nonrev kasi may anak na siya sa una? Puro babae,” said Cristy.

According to Cristy, people would only stop speculating if Nonrev could be seen working for his family.

She gave advice to Angeline’s husband to build a business to provide better for his children.

“Dapat dahil siya ang ama ng tahanan dapat siya ‘yung nakikita ng publiko na nagtatrabaho talaga para hindi sinasabi na umaasa lang siya kay Angeline Quinto. Nakakalungkot naman ‘yang ganyan. Kaya ngayon, binabash-bash siya,”

It can be recalled that Angeline already addressed some of the issues surrounding her husband, including the rumors that the singer supported her husband.

Ogie Diaz reacted to the mysterious social media move by his former talent, Liza Soberano, who shared the news about the charges he was facing from Bea Alonzo.

In his online program, Showbiz Updates, Ogie said that Liza had the right to share everything she wanted on her social media page.

“Sa akin walang problema ‘yon. Okay lang, karapatan niya ‘yon eh… account niya ‘yon eh, twitter account niya ‘yon. Kasi ako, sa akin lang noh? Kung makakatulong sa career ni Liza ‘yong pagrerepost niya eh di irepost niya ng irepost,” he said.

Netizens speculated that Liza’s decision to share the article was a swipe against her former manager.

It can be recalled that Liza and Ogie’s issue started last year when the actress claimed that she had problems with her former manager.

However, Ogie denied that he made such claims and even said that he only took a small percentage of the commission from Liza.

At first, Ogie said that he took 30% commission from Liza, but he lowered it later on.

“Hindi ko rin sinasabi na ungrateful ka. Ang sinabi ko lang ‘wag makakalimot. Wag magsusunog ng tulay. Be grateful. Iba yung sa wala kang utang na loob,” he stated.

DJ and television host Kat Alano became active again on her social media page after television host Vhong Navarro gained a major legal victory.

It can be recalled that last week, Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee were sentenced to reclusion perpetua for what they did to Vhong in 2014.

After the decision, some of Kat’s fans expressed their support for her and even took a swipe against someone.

Some commented about someone who convinced the public that s/he was innocent due to his/her popularity.

Some believed that it was related to Kat’s revelation during an interview with DJ Mo, in which she claimed that a celebrity took advantage of her in 2005.

She refused to disclose the whole identity of the actor and only called him “RhymesWithWrong.”

Kat revealed that she didn’t file any charges against the said actor due to his connections.

“BTW, for everyone asking why I never filed. His uncle made sure that all cases against him would be dismissed. I found this out firsthand. Also they have been waiting to file a case against me to silence me & discredit me in the media, knowing I could never get justice by filing,” Kat said.
