A netizen has been blocked by Piston leader George San Mateo on Facebook after the latter got accused by representing the Public Utility Vehicle drivers even he don’t own any jeepney.
Several days ago, San Mateo criticized bookstore that offering the newly published book of Rigoberto ‘Bobi’ Tiglao about the martial law during the Marcos Regime.
According to him, the said bookstore should not accept or advertise the books written by Tiglao because he’s a loyalist of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and current President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Bakit hinayaan ng popular bookstore na maging advertiser sila nitong si Tiglao na tuta ni Gloria Arroyo at ngayon ni Duterte?” San Mateo said.
In response of San Mateo’s comment, a supporter of Duterte, Mark Tolentino accused San Mateo of being a representative of jeepney drivers despite not owning any jeep.
He said that San Mateo has no right to choose what book should be published by the bookstore that advertised Tiglao’s new book.
“George San Mateo, ikaw nga representative ng Piston ni wala kang jeep o drinidrive na jeep. Ikaw lang me karapatang pumili ng libro na ipupublish?” Tolentino said.
San Mateo quickly responded to Tolentino’s accusation, saying that he should not believe the propaganda being spread by Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
“Mark Tolentino talagang assuming ka agad na wala akong dina drive na jeep? Saan mo nakuha ang info na yan sa dotr at ltfrb? Wag ka kasi magpapaniwala agad sa sabi sabi.” he said.
Tolentino wants to continue the debate, however San Mateo blocked him already on Facebook.
“Does not change the fact na its the publisher’s right to select the book its publishes, it’s their right. It’s not your right though to cause public nuisance by blocking streets for your rally,” he said.
Meanwhile, several Duterte supporters slammed San Mateo for blocking Tolentino who only wanted to debate with him.
“PIKON KA PALA GEORGE! Asan ang Demokrasya kung BLOCKER ka pala pag pikon ka na?” Netizen Juan Tanong said.
San Mateo has been accused even before of being the representative of the PUV drivers despite not owning any transportation vehicles and didn’t even experience to work as a driver.
