A man with a cleft palate who wanted his photo to be edited received offers from the netizens who wished for his condition to be fixed for real.
James Paulo Tadeo went to Free Edit PH Facebook Group to have his selfie fixed, saying that he wanted to see himself without a cleft palate.
“Pa edet po ‘yung maging maayus na po bibig ko,” said Tadeo.
An edit of Tadeo’s photo made by netizen Marimar Aquino gained hundreds of thousands of reactions on social media.
As the post went viral, many netizens offered Tadeo a cleft palate surgery for free.
“Sir taga saan po kayo? Meron po kaming libreng operasyon sa mga may cleft lip po,wala po kayong gagastosin hanggang sa gamot po.. libre po ito lahat. Nag pm po ako sir,” netizen Maria said.
“Sir meron po tayong free operation para sa mga cleft patient. Pm me sir tulungan po kita maka connect sakanila,” netizen Joerzan commented.
According to Tadeo, he really wanted to undergo an operation to fix his appearance.
“Thank you po maam ang pogi kona po jan salamat po…. gusto ko po magpaopera kaso kulang sa badyet,” he said.
